Good to see you are off to have some quiet time Dot xxxx
We had no reception last night and its sooooo slooowwww tonight. We have enjoyed the weekend immensely. Today lall the w**kers went home and only the old farts were left behind. So we have had a very long happy hour and enjoyed the slower pace of the day.

Love Hawks Nest Deborah, we use to stay there often sometimes out at Mungo Brush, we saw the biggest python out at the track to the beach when eldest g'son was about 4yrs, he was ahead of us on the track when it came out he leaped over it & went screaming down the track, we've always wondered if it was after him, it was huge.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
We actually made the escape this morning, up the freeway just through Tailem bend and in a rest area called Tailem bend south . All this area and a wizz bang next to us , be he thought it wiser to move due to me starting the beg red thumper up for 8 minutes
Usual rat bags come in and dump their rubbish outside the bin, there is also a fridge so I opened the door up and there was a bottle of ? orange cordial?? a lettuce and 6 buns ??? (No bodies)
Bed time now so goodnight everyone x

Sounds like a good place to leave a body then Dot. Remind me of it, if I need a hiding place
Enjoy your escape xxxx
Shirley, Hawks Nest caravan park is very sad. The place has had very little maintenance and not even the grass has been watered. They have a couple of big bores on the property, so no excuse for so many sand holes and missing grass. To say we were a bit disappointed would be an understatement. As a group, we wont be returning in a hurry. Caravan parks in NSW are so busy at the moment that they seem to be getting cocky. No group discounts and upping their prices to beyond the ridiculous. Once Qld is open again, it may change, but we are seeing a different attitude to our group at the moment. They just don't need us in big groups to fill their parks. Personally, if we are going off on our own, we are preferring to use showgrounds, so maybe it wont affect us personally. We're still waiting to see if borders get opened s we can try again for our big trip across the Nullabor.
We did enjoy our weekend away, and look forward to our next one.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
We got home this arvo, It was good just to get on the road even if it was for a short time. Brian as usual was a good boy, we went for a little walk and he dug a hole peed in it and covered it very well, on the way back another hole to china and this time a big poo and once again the cover up took lots of work. Leave no trace at it's best. Not like the people that came in and put their household rubbish beside the rubbish bin.
Was entertaining listening to the good ol CH40 just about every call made was "Are the barbies hot or cold"? If they have nothing to worry about then why are they so obsessed? (running for cover now)
Goodnight to everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Good to see you had some time out Dot. You actually get stuff on your radio? We rarely hear anything on ours, apart from the occasional truckie saying gday to another truckie. Nothing to get excited about tho. Well done having such a civilised pussy. xxxx
Had a quiet lair day, doing domestic stuff (yucko). Had a lady knock on our door to ask if we are expecting a delivery of guttering. It had been delivered to her house, another number 11 but around the corner and with a different street name. It was a serious problem as she was expecting a delivery of roof tiles today. So we had to get the driver to return from Sydney and re-deliver the guttering to us. We thought about going and walking the stuff here, but the guttering is way too long for us to manage safely. Be our luck to scratch it or drop it and make it dented. All sorted, so back to whatever is normal around here.

Deborah, I think you are lucky that the woman came around and asked if that spouting was yours. Must be a good neighbour. Delivery driver must be clever leaving it in the wrong street. I hope that's the only issue with your reno's.
Cheers
