Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Missed last night, was not feeling too good so went to bed early and most of today boo hoo. Got my special drinks today, ordered them last thursday and here first thing today. Waiting for a little parcel from Bendigo and going on for 2 weeks. card to NZ (air mail) and sent that on the 5th Oct still not there. Talk about "can't wait" George informed me he had ordered a tow bar for the suzuki from Qld. $600 plus . He had very sore ears after he told me that. Got to go through the BS now of getting the car registered in SA and that might be another long drawn out saga in it self. Off to bed now so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Norman x :D

Hope youu are feeling better soon Dot xxxx

So far this weekend and today we have had 2 1/2 inches of rain. It has been a little bit damp. One of my favourite grevillia trees has taken to falling over in the rain today. Tomorrow it will get a strong haircut and hopefully be put back into the ground so that it can continue to attract all the parrots etc. We reckon the tree is about 20 years old, but with all the water in its branches, it seemed to get a bt too top heavy. We have had to treat a much younger grevillia in a similar way a few month back and it came good, so fingers are crossed for a successful operation tomorrow. Otherwise there is a big gap in the garden that looks a bit weird.

Hey Dot found no problems in reregistering our cars in SA. As long as they give you the correct paper work to start with. Cheers Robert

A little trick we used on eng no was to wire brush it and rub chalk over it

When I took our Bedford to have it inspected in order to have it registered as a Motor Home in NSW we, myself and the inspector, were unable to locate an engine no. The places where the number was expected to be were shiny and bare.

I was asked to follow the inspector to his office where he handed me a metal box and told to see if that would help. I then proceeded to stamp the number, which was on the original paperwork, onto the shiny and bare area.

When I returned the metal box to the inspector he asked if I had finally been able to locate the engine number and when I replied in the affirmative he followed me out to the bus to continue the inspection prior to issuing the relevant paperwork. :) ;)

George, you are pretty lucky. In Vic they used to send you to a certified engineer and they would stamp a VP number, like V12345P that the rego mob had allocated to that vehicle.

Had a good day today, decided we needed to get out of the house while the going was good so hopped in the car and headed to Mannum, turned out to be more of a reunion gathering, met the people having their bus fitted with enough solar to run Mannum WOW what a set up, so 2 more people met. Bruce & Wendy were also there (at the workshop) and they got stuck into fish and chips for lunch, Oh the smell of those chips :( I got a very soggy cold chip down. Watching the "Trump show" and I better turn it off before the poor tv gets murdered  That guy is such a rude arrogant bully and I just hope he gets the boot. Enough of time on him so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D
