"tanks" here---
The end of the month almost. The next thion g is November and the Melbourne Cup.
Plant tomato plants before the Cup day for a good summer crop to add to your summer salads.

Blimey, I can't even grow a pumpkin.
Rather nice day weather wise, sleepy lizards are out for their sunning and baby birds are everywhere.
George has been busy scraping some rust from the bus
any thing special he should know about getting it under control?. Tomorrow I am going to try to get the fruit trees budding fruit thinned out so this years fruit is bigger than last year. Time to say goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dottie,
Dunno if it’s still available, but as a callow youth I worked in the Paint Dept of a local hardware store.
To neutralise rust on metal we recommended a product called Kilrust Fish Oil.
It was deodorised, so no fishy pong.
After application, instructions said to wait 24hrs then use a wire brush. Rust could be removed & the oil would stop recurrence.
Just Googled it.
(See? The work I do for you...)
Now known as Fishoilene.
About $29 for an aerosol spray can on the EvilBay.
There are also a few other competitors now.
A groundbreaking new product when I was selling it.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Go on Dot, you know you want to try to grow tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes. The hammer shop has lots of beefsteak tomato plants, that's my choice of flavourful tomatoes. xxxx
Ray, yes I remember the "odourless" fish oil stuff. Everything stank like the fish markets for weeks.
Another tree destroying day here. His nibs started cutting a lot more off the broken grevillia tree. It was still way too heavy for us to get it upright. But we had a chance to have a closer look at the trunk and the decision to replace it was not an easy one, but an obvious choice. There is no guarantee that the tree would survive even if we could get it back to it's normal position. So it will be hacked up in the coming weeks and a replacement tree will be bought.
Kiln run was done again today and looks all good. No kiln tomorrow, I have an appointment in Newcastle so no time for firing.

Dot, Ranex Rustbuster or Feronite Rust Converter are my choices.

Do you know of a local woodturner or wood craftsman?
Maybe you have a local Men’s Shed?
There’s sure to be someone who would appreciate the timber.
I have turned a few items from Grevillea. It’s a beautiful wood. Pity I can’t get to your home.
Please don’t burn it or feed it to a woodchipper! That would be a tragic waste.
