Good morning I'm back
We had a enjoyable few days away, found out what needs fixing/changing
The solar on the roof isn't enough for the battery bank, we had the first day light rain and overcast second day just mainly overcast third sunny, the fridge couldn't handle the lack of sun, it's a two door Waeco 12/24v. Doesn't like the batteries down around 11v.
But the diesel heater had no problem...go figure...
Carol gave the bedroom and the kitchen BIG ticks but still struggling with the toilet, more work needed
And those pesky fish are still there I couldn't even catch a cat fish but managed to lose a lure on a snag.
Good to see you back home Keith.

Good morning All. 8* and sunny with 18* forecast. I'm still working on the deck, managed to sand 7 square metres yesterday and today will start prep coating same. Went to bed early last night due to aching muscles etc.

Bernie,
take T-1's advice and install a standard domestic fridge and get rid of the 12v /24v /gas /electric thing that sometimes works and most times freezes the lettuce and tomatoes and lets the ice-cream melt.
I have had three of the 12v/240v/gas monsters and all the same problems as soon as the battery voltage drops even a bit below the 12v mark the fridge stops functioning. Toss out all of the food and start again with a fresh food supply if you are in a town with a decent shop. I have been caught a few times out in the bush eating Kellog's Corn Flakes while my fridge/freezer contents lay decomposing on the rubbish heap.

Good morning everyone, its a beautiful day here again. Clear skies so nights are cool, but lovely days. We had a house guest last night, so we have had a big bacon and egg brekky.
Glad to see you left some fish there for me Bernie.
Got the Winny back from the service. It's got new front shockers now and will get some new tyres next week.
Tanks, I think Bernie's fridge is one of those 12/24 volt compressor fridges. I'm glad the you managed to get out of hospital and back into civilisation.

Shirley that storm damaged my Iveco ( was at Bennetts Green) but I’m having trouble getting a panelbeater to go there and quote.

Peter, if it's hail damage, then most beaters won't do it. You might need to get in touch with Hailtech or the Hail Wizards etc. Your insurance company will have some specialist hail damage companies as preferred repairers.

Hello peoples, Margaret has built me a new to me 'puter with a "pop" keyboard that makes a lot of noise, but the keys and switches can be easily removed and replaced when I kill them, a 23" monitor all running from a surface pro .... yeah, I'm not sure what I just said either

Getting the feel for the non working life style, as in, working as hard as ever, still not getting paid but now have to do it without all the flash equipment ..... so it takes 5 times as long now.
First project, convert the garden shed into my workshop and install the inverter and solar regulator to get the house off grid.

Congratulations on returning home Keith, we found the easiest way of solving problems with Telstra was to shift to Optus and run everything via the mobile network. Even after the wifi modem went up in smoke in the workshop fire, the phones took over the wifi connection job no matter where we are at the time
