Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

No rain in SA has ever raised the level of water in the River Murray. Well maybe by 1mm. The wind does more.
Most water falls on the other side of the ranges.
Put your togs on just in case it's 40 days & 40 nights.

Did you watch last nights news on 9? This time, the rain is coming down from the centre, not up from the coast .....
I caught a you tube link to it just as I was heading for bed ..... there has been a lot of water fallen up state ...... The prediction is for 80mm in Adelaide in 24 hrs starting sometime Sunday ..... that is unheard of for Adelaide. Add what will run off from the hills, Adelaide is not the place to be this weekend ;)
At least the Mannum Waterfall will be worth seeing for a while

What is the betting there will be some photos of the River Torrens trash trap?
Every time there is a bit of a downpour the trash trap gets overwhelmed.

No doubt, I'd imagine a lot will get washed into the river as well making the clean out an on going event for a week or so .....

It will be an interesting test for the new Mannum storm water system with the big heavy flap valve/gates designed to stay closed if the river is high enough to put that much pressure on them, and the big rubbish filter pipe structures, will they block from the inside out, or the outside in

If it comes down like they are predicting, it will be a wheel barrow and shovel job bringing the yard and driveway gravel back from the spoon drain that runs down to opposite Mannum Green IGA and the dirt where the house was will probably head off down the driveway and across the lawn, headed for the river ..... it's shaping up to be an eventful weekend here in Mannum ....

The MG4 charger is in a spot on the truck tyre Jon, if the water gets high enough to cause issues this time, the MG charger will be the least of our worries, I very much doubt the Winnie floats

Hope the water level doesn't get too high on Brian's houseboat ;) I'm not sure he has a Plimsoll Line marked on the hull ......

I floated Ok during the flood
Was no different to me
Me home care provider was worried though
Same as they want to focumrnt my fire plan. I told them if the fire from the stubble paddock can jump the road, then perhaps500 - 1000 metres of bare earth then 200 metres of water then the road I will have to turn on the hose.😛
12 × 5 house boat moored at the present in Mannum Waters Marina.
Converting to LiFePo4 for float alone status

14psi for every 30ft of water. Won't be to much....

Would have been worse if he picked up the snake and the carpet fell out ;) Can't blame the snake for looking for a bit of comfort ..... fortunately, they rarely bite and aren't really deadly if they do, often not injecting venom, more intended to scare you away so they can make a quick getaway .....plenty of time to get to the hospital emergency if you just compound bandage the bite site .....

Those juvenile brown snakes as the worry, they inject the full venom load if they bite, they are fighting for their life ......

The worst, in my opinion, is the Illawarra death adder, or any death adder for that matter, they will inject a full venom load and bite multiple times .... as well as chase you rather than attempting to escape ... the toxin will cause immediate pain at the bite site, you will know you have been bitten and poisoned, symptoms are extreme headache, disorientation, blurred vision ... leading the breathe difficulties and heart failure .... compression bandage from the bite site up the limb and immobilise the victim ..... there is no walking away from an Illawarra Death Adder bite, more than 50% of bites were fatal prior to an anti-venom being produced, but you still have a limited window for treatment and a min of 1 to 2 days to recover ......
