Yeah, good to see some competition this year,
The young guys are doing well too.

Nope, haven't looked for a diesel mechanic yet, but will need one sometime myself.
Going to need an injector pump reconditioned I think.

Cheers,
Bernie B
I plan to stop procrastinating tomorrow.

We have visitors. Ian & Anne (Nomads) arrived yesterday afternoon and we had a great dinner cooked up by our son David last night. It will be a quick visit as they are off to the WA gold fields and we are off to Whyalla for a battery job but we are hoping to have their 3 yr lithium battery service completed by this afternoon, best get my head down and bum up and get back into it if that's going to happen eh

All my inverters are from ebay Dot, only problem I had was one packed it in after a few months and that was a 600w inverter and the first one in the bus. I reckon it was because it worked at close to maximum all the time and sat in the hot sun by the window at times. Now my inverters and chargers are well out of sun light and well ventilated.

All the others on the houses, bus, workshop and boat have been in use for over 5 years and still work really well. They range from 600w to 3kw and work well, I always use inverters that are about 50% more capacity than needed. My late mate told me having more capacity and working the inverter at half capacity, makes them last a lot longer. I tend to agree with that, never had a problem with them and still have the backups in their boxes. I always carry backups for inverters, chargers and solar controllers in the bus and yet to use any.

We just had a huge down pour, caught me under the trailer finishing off the brakes and got very wet. It was so heavy, the gutters overflowed and water came into my sunroom and had to take out the carpets to dry and got two very wet dogs now.

Thanks NP hope you dried those wet puppies off :) wouldn't mind a drop or two of rain either. We are planning to add a bit more solar so a bigger inverter in order.

Made a big mistake Dot, got changed toweled them down, walked away, so they followed me and had a good shake, one each side. Got a new girl, now called Marlie and not Earnie. Had her 3 days and she is a really intelligent sweetie. She was chained to a fence, the chain was heavier than her and so twisted it had more than halved in length. So she couldn't get into the shed beside her and looks like she slept on the step in the weather, ribs sticking out and her growth stunted. She is a cross between a kelpie and husky, but looks like a small dingo and acts like one, except she barks. Smelt terrible poor girl, gave her a bath and she has food to eat whenever she wants, so she is not scoffing it all down and is already looking and acting much better.

Never been inside, but has been excellent, can let her out by herself and she is back within a minute or so and sticks to me like glue. Sleeps right beside mu bed when she has a choice of 3 comfortable couches to sleep on, or lies under my feet when on the computer, travels very well, Had her first trip to the beach, which was a real blast and she loved it. Dax is teaching her the ropes and looking after her, whilst Muscles is not sure if he should be jealous or happy. They are working it all out without our interference nicely.

There are some seriously sick bastards in this world isn't there? but thank goodness there are people that also find it in their hearts to take a chance on these poor animals that really should be biting our hands off. Good on you and glad Marlie found a good home. :)

The ebay inverter arrived today, I had a good sleep in while G went back to Mannum on the stud extraction mission which didn't really go to plan but that is another story. I decided to have a big clean out of the linen cupboard, didn't realise I had so much stuff so a big donation to some op shop will be coming up, think I will drop it all off in a small town somewhere when we head off. Lots of jobs need doing outside as well, grass to mow, trees to trim and fruit trees to prune, heaps of mulching, weeds to spray and the list goes on and on. Eye tests for us both tomorrow then back to Mannum on Saturday. Never ending isn't it?
