Drove 100k south of newman. Blew inner dual on drivers side destroying water pump, utilities locker etc etc. Spent the rest of the day changing over wheels. Drove back to Newman today. Tomorrow off to the tyre shop. The one that blew date 1311 bought 2014
Should have been ok for a little longer..

Interested to know what pressure was in the one that didn't blow?
If that one has lost some pressure then it puts more load on the one that blows.
Did you have two dogs on it? (monitors)

Was 100 psi Bruce. Should have been 110. We were travelling at 85.
The original tyres are 245/70 19.5 After blowing the two steers, we went to 265s.
Discovered today that we have a different rim on one of the duals which means that new rim required.
Waiting for new rim..on the upside, we have better load carrying capacity.

Why different sized Rims Martin
How does it increase your load carrying capacity?

Following on from my exhaust brake problem...As I don't drive in the dark I never know what is happening on the dash..I turned my lights o last night ( I'm camped ) to see if there was any wildlife out side...NO dash lights at all...Maybe the problem lye's with in the dash.....Opinion's ?
