Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Taggerty 2023 update. All the cooking is done and dusted. Record early finish. No voting yet. It's been cold, wet and cold, warm and sunny , now back to cold cold and windy.
The internet is so slow here I reckon we could all outrun it. More pics to come, with names and faces , probably Monday arvo.
Cheers

Good morning.
Nothing around the home happened yesterday...lawn still needs looking at, and the wind was down enough to spray some poison about...still to be done, next door dropped in to show me another campertrailer he's interested in...the other one wasn't up to scratch.
This one just south of Brissy...to far to go...I said I have a rellie there and I would see if he can look at it for you. He will when he gets a chance...so that's in the hands of the God's :D
And its Bacon and eggs day at our place....as soon as herself gets out of bed   .
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Morning Bernie we are at Tailem Bend for the weekend, having the first Goldstar get together. 7 vans in total and two of them from Victoria.

Had a BBQ last night with steaks, chicken porkand beer/wine supplied by the company. The sales manager Brian came to represent Goldstar and a good night had by all. Rain held of until we started packing up.

Will be leaving Monday for a slow drive north until gravity pulls us back, take care and safe travelling. Robert

Good morning all. I am thinking of asking our members for cash donations to start an appeal for a "Food for England" appeal.
I noted that the poor people and even the official guests only had Coronation Spinach Quich and Chicken sandwiches to eat, and a large majority of the citizens had to have their cuppa from thermos flasks while most of the poor people were sitting on the ground in the rain with only some thin plastic sheeting for protection. I think that It's the bloody Labour Government and the Greenies that's done this..
IGA have Leg of Lamb Roasts on special at $9.99/kg this month and this would be an ideal time to buy up a swag of Australian Lamb roasts and post them over to the poms.

Good morning 7c prediction 19c, very cloudy with sun trying hard to shine thru now & then, breeze from the south, calm lake.
I’ve had a very busy couple of days, after taking the two young guns to school on Friday, I opened the verticals & was totally shocked to see that the catamaran had been broken into the doors to the cockpit were wide open, rang police assistance line & reported same, hopefully the finger printing person will come today, several moored boats were broken into last week in the bay south of us.
Bruce’s sister & brother in law are down from Coffs Harbour for the weekend, never a dull moment here, no time to grow old gracefully, 🤣🤣 & of course we had the 4 lads over here y’day.
Didn’t have time to watch the Coronation had to pick the young son up from Wyong station at 10pm, he flew in from Perth, & the boys were watching Saturday night footy when I left did see the gang on the balcony when I returned home.
Brilliant sunshine now.
Shirley & Bruce.

Lunch time is coming up in Central Queensland.
I was surprised that I did not receive any feedback from my Australian Lamb Roast for England cash appeal. I guess all of the Taggerty mob have rushed off to IGA for the specials and are now eating Roast Lamb as they sit around the campfire/bonfire, or did the cook comp produce some kangaroo recipes. The winner name and dish or recipe have not been posted yet.
I was going to rush to IGA and fill the freezer with Australian Lamb Roasts however as I only have 2 weeks before I relocate to Perth that would be a waste----so I will concentrate on the Viennetta Specials.

Who is looking forward to the Budget hand down on Tuesday night ? Just think of all of the extra benefits we pensioners will receive from our generous Treasurer. --enough said on that subject.

With all of the pomp and ceremony over the Coronation and the crowning of the King and Queen I have reflections and flashbacks of my times and pledges as I have grown over the past 85 years. I have had FOUR Monarchs in my lifetime so far. vis: Edward viii, George vi, Elizabeth ii, and now Charles iii.
I wonder if I will live long enough to witness another Coronation or Crowning of a King or Queen.

Me again---
When I was a young whipper snipper at the tender age of five years and having just commenced prep-school, in those days there was no pre-school, kindergarten etc, I recall standing with the other pupils at assembly in the playground and saluting the National Flag, and then sing God Save the King each morning before holding each other's hands and marching into the classroom.
In those days there was only ONE FLAG on the flagpole and now we have three flags --

I recall the pledges I made to the Crown as I moved through the various stages of the Australian Armed Forces through my later developing years ---still only ONE FLAG during those years. Now, the Country has THREE FLAGS and I have difficulty adjusting to this. I await the possible addition of another flag being added to the mix; that with a large yellow star and a few smaller yellow stars on a red background.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.

Taggerty update. Terry and Marg have arrived safely.
Vic was the winner of the 2023 Taggerty Master Chef Cook off. Won by a country mile. Voting for the placings was very close. Photos later. Internet still very ordinary. It's rather cold here. I'm heading back to the campfire.
Cheers
