Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well all I can say is that our Deborah is one clever cookie. OK the man turned up to look at the car and hitch, wanted some compliance plate on the hitch??? and the tow ball size changed, well you know what he got told politely. All paperwork is legal. So then he said for his wife to sit in the car as she will be driving it which she did but funnily enough didn't want to take it for a drive?? Is that normal? Bet he comes back with a low offer. Then bugger me I rang the car salesman to say we would buy the car he showed us Monday, he was on a day off and the other guy said "Oh that car was sold yesterday" We had settled on the Kia Rio GT so just wait now but we are heading off tomorrow for a few days R&R. So if I am to get up in good time I must say goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thanks Dot xxx I have bought n sold a few cars and usually the ones that surprise you with weird behaviour are the ones that never turn up again or as you suggested, offer a ridiculously low price next week. Lock it up safely, or take it with you down to the block and have a great weekend. xxxx
Well the window is finally finished yay
So I put in time doing other domestic stuff like cleaning some of the other ordinary windows in the joint. Then just for good measure, I looked at my first stained glass work, on the front door. It got a good restorative coat of blacking on all of it's lead work too. Not bad for my first attempt at stained glass work 14 years ago. Cleaning is not something that happens often here anymore, we try to be not here so often. But as we're staying the winter here some sacrifices are being made.
good night one and all xxx

Have a great weekend Dot xxxx
For anyone wishing to see the finished window, you can either visit me at home on the Central Coast of NSW (when all this crap is over) or have a look at my facebook page D.d.dragon dezigns . I am sorry that I have no luck posting pics here.
Today was freezing cold here. So I spent a lot of time down in the shed with the kiln keeping me warm. Yet another crazy creation is taking place.
happy dreams tonight you lot xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, enjoying the fresher air? xxxx
Shirley, I don't know how you did that, but thank you for sharing my picture. The whole window is my work from the last 6 weeks. The middle panels were kiln worked, but all of the outer ones were copper foiled stained glass and such a slow old process. Of course the photo does not do all the sparkly bits any justice, but I still love it. I keep wandering down the stairs to catch the window in different light. It really does change during the day and today it was rainy (as you know) and gloomy and the window still sparkled. So I am happy with it.
Today was a domestic day. I caught up on some of the mending pile and did a lot of cleaning and house stuff.
Watch out for those bed bugs xxx
