Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I am totally knackered today, I started at lunch time putting more pea straw on the gardens as the rain had done a good job so hoping the straw helps. Next door has borrowed some of our left over fence wire (30 mts) and did a temp dog enclosure. He said the concrete contractor will not be able to do his shed floor for some weeks or months due to "lack of concrete, shortage of workers blah blah. The old saying of "pay peanuts get monkeys" seems to be right. The shed contract like the house contract was to be finalized 5 mths ago, every excuse under the sun. Apparently the windows in the house are not the size as was on the plan and the curtains don't fit. . ??? My feet, hands and back are so painful so a hot soak in the bath is in order then into bed. Stay away from people and stay safe, looks like we are in for a long haul with all this virus stuff. HTFFBO is now camped up at Texas for a while. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, we have a house across from us that has been under construction/rebuild for over 8 months. We finally hear on the grapevine that their builder has gone bust. Same comment here. You took the cheapest quote, so what did you expect? We don't care if it never gets finished, the tenants are happy with it, so who cares? Good luck to your neighbours then mate. xxxx
Had a slow start after a very loud night. Not partying, but storms. We had some of the loudest rain that I can remember. It was huge, filled the rain gauge to the one inch mark and lasted all of twenty minutes. We had some other bits of heavy-ish rain during the night, but nothing like the first lot.
Tonight looked like it might go the same way, but it seems to have blown over.
The piece in the kiln was ok, but it needed a lot of sanding before tonight's firing, with extra bits put on top for some more interest and definition.
Weeding has become a major focus around here. With all the extra rain that we are having, the weeds are taking over. Many hours again, with a huge pile of weeds but not a lot of garden space is cleared yet. Some of the "dwarf" dahlias have grown to be taller than me. I know that's not saying a lot, but dwarf dahlias are usually 18inches tall. me thinks we got a box of seedlings with the wrong label.

Dot, those windows were in that house frame a very long time ago. Don't they know how to use a tape measure.
I reckon they have come up with BS excuses, so they don't have to put a proper fence up along your driveway.
Deborah, I know what you mean about weeds, there is plenty of weeding to be done here as well. Go away for a few weeks and weeds everywhere.

Hope the bath helped Dot xxxx
David, we seem to be in a tropical weather zone at the moment. Every night we are getting some kind of rainfall and every morning I see more weeds are filling up the spots that I cleared last week. PITA. Would be a good job for boy scouts bob a job week, oh that's right, they don't do that anymore.
Had a slow lair day after a poor sleeping night, so not a lot done here. I even had a nanny nap, which is a rare event.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I waited until our house was built then got the curtain to do all the work ( I am not at all a domestic goddess) any cock ups would of been their fault = no $$ . They have a dog that knows no commands and 2 cats that they think can be let out at night
. The wire fence won't keep a cat in. The lady told me one of the cats was bitten by a snake and told her husb it was not going to the vet and it either lived or died
My estimation of her dropped to below 0 and just as I was about to open my gob George said he heard the phone ringing and for me to get it . He is a very smart cookie lately . I stayed inside today shredding more old bills/receipts, how long do people keep this stuff? I found stuff from 2008. It was rather warm and muggy today, not used to this weird weather. Heard some guy on the news saying how much $$$ the government will be paying for that bloody tennis player and his appeal/court crap How come all this $ is being used for this BS and yet we can't get needed medical equipment / drugs. No wonder the White Pussy is peed off. Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight WayneP x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
IF I was peed off yesterday then today I am tipple peed off. Numb nut tennis player gets to roam freely around and play a game of tennis. I have an appointment with a specialist this Thursday and get a message it will be a consult by phone due to the covid status WTF? I have had all of my jabs, I wear a mask, I keep my distance from all and sundry, I wash my hands etc . and yet this BS applies to us mere common people that do the right thing? To me this is a case of discrimination pure and simple. My GP wears a full face mask , gloves and gown but I still get to see her. Q/ How does one poke their crook appendage down the ph line to have it examined?? Please explain. Rant over for now. I really need to get away for a while but hah bloody hah where to and if you can go somewhere will you be able to get home?? I am going to bed now so Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight to me x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, I am guessing that you are hoping Jokeacich will trip on his laces and break a leg? I bet there are plenty more wishing even more harm to the moron. Doctors are making some very weird rulings around here too. Thankfully our gp is ok with us seeing him in person. Don't know how he can freeze off nasty bits if on a phone consult?
xxxx
It was 30degrees with 98%humidity....you can write the rest. Too flamin hot and humid to do anything. Shed was not even visited. I don't know what happened in the kiln last night. Just the walk down the end of the yard was enough to send me back to sleep. Had an indoors kind of day and not much to show for it.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dottie,
Have you forgotten that adage, “Money talks”?
The Djoker has a very loud bank account.
Strange chronology.
In late November/early December he was boasting that he’d be playing on a medical exemption.
He claimed on his visa application that he contracted Covid on 12 December.
On 13~15 December he attended a tennis fundraiser where he was photographed, arms around young players, unmasked and looking quite fit and well.
If, as he claimed, he had Covid at that time, he would have been quite ill and contagious! Maybe he was ‘soldiering on’ and generously sharing his Covid…
Unfortunately the court case was focussed on the paper trail and whether the Djoker was treated fairly by ABF.
Maybe the Immigration Minister will take his “illness” into account.
It has also come to light that his visa application stated that he had not travelled in the 2 weeks prior to travelling to Australia.
In fact, he had travelled from Belgrade to Spain for the fundraiser.
He claimed that Tennis Australia had filled out the visa application for him.
Really?! Is he incapable of filling in travel documents?
With his worldwide itinerary, that would be a serious problem!
And are we to believe that Tennis Australia fills out the visa applications for every one of the hundreds of players and their entourages? Or does the Djoker get special attention?
BTW, his visa application has to be signed by him, and from memory I think for Australia it requires a witness to that signature.
We can maybe look forward to him really catching Covid and having to go into 14 days of isolation.
Ya reckon Tennis Australia would suspend the tournament until he’s out of isolation?
