Woke to rain. Ah well cuppa tea & back to bed with book. No suck bloody luck. Forgot to being tea bag out from house to van last night & no liquor passed my lips yesterday.
Key to front door- only screen & no door key.
To side duoble gates- they had put the 2 bars across.
Back to van for 2 big knives to lift bars.
Inside , Sally's dog starts barking. Shush Peppa.
Around to laundry door hoping that only screen was the one shut- whew, into house with key.
Into garage, trying not to trip over sleeping kids everywhere to shut garage window.
Back to patio, lowered the bistro blinds, to van - no dam tea bag. Must have dropped it somewhere. Whole episode again to get back into kitchen, trying not to waken dear grandies.
Never thought that I wouyld have to break into own home. Good start to the day not if keeps raining with 10 children-Ugh. they were promised they would be taken to the beach this morning.

Re: 5am Boxing Morning
Hello peoples
My 5am wake up was my daughter complaining about the ear piercing scream from the back patio. It was the inverter, screaming for mercy. The weather was over cast crap on the afternoon of the 23rd, crap christmas eve and then bucketed down, crap on off rain Christmas day, so bugger all solar input. The fridges copped and absolute hammering with christmas food and drinks, multiple opens to get more food and drink with 14 people here till early hrs this morning, the poor batteries just ran out of puff. Should have turned the charger on before I went to bed. All good now.
Now the clean up while feeling a tad second hand, but it was a great christmas

5am on Boxing morning. Woke the the sound of the Storm bird calling, green tree frogs calling and the gentle pitter patter of light rain falling. All is good in SE Qld, so I did what any self respecting Aussie bloke would do, rolled over and went back to sleep. I hope the speedway doesn't get washed out tonight.
Cheers
