Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Had a great 'strayla day at the moving street party .... moved gradually from in front of our place under the shade of the big gum trees, to up the road a bit, then back towards Mannum a few houses to get to the shade on the non river side under another couple of big trees. Managed to give the BBQ away ... twice actually, the first taker didn't take it when he left and our next door neighbour the other side of the flood hollow took it ..... it's no longer our problem ;) 8-)

The neighbour two houses the other way brought out some home brew for sampling, it tasted pretty good, but by then anything with alcohol as party of the brew tasted good
Friday was a lost cause, had a massive headache develop towards the end of the street party that I thought wasn't fair, the hangover headache is supposed to wait till the next morning, it got steadily worst through the night, the neck locked up ....... around lunchtime Friday I realised I hadn't taken my Thursday pills, nor had I consumed any coffee, the coffee cleared the headache some what, the pills and regular neck rubs with the stuff that now appears to be a dirty word on this forum, and all was well again .... bu not well enough to go to work
Back at work today, lots to do, hope Dottie is well soon, hope she had blood tests for Murray Valley encephalitis as well as the other parasite stool sample tests https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/hea ... cephalitis

Morning all.
Yep same here Robert/Helen, I remember fishing for Mullet as a kid...deep sea are better than river caught....but as a kid only river we didn't own a boat.

We had a storm through here yesterday arvo, it dropped 9mm.
Carol spent the day in bed to keep off her back and leg.

It's bacon and eggs day again in our household ;) ;) .
Son is coming out for a sausage sizzle later...he's bringing the snags :)

Where are you Bob haven't seen you for a bit.
Keep safe everyone.

Nigel said yesterday would reach 36 here… we saw 42.6.
Today he says 26… which means we’ll see about 32.
BoM’s local station is 6km out of town (ag research station) and in a depression, which means readings are always lower than in town — summer and winter.

Hi all, we Barry Edwards and I [Peter Holmes] stayed at Berry SG from
26/12/22 till 09/01/23. We left there and Barry went to Gunning SG and I went
to Moss Vale SG [ I had a specialists appointment On the 10/01]. I left Moss Vale and went to Gunning SG and joined Barry and stayed o/n there
We set off next morning after breakfast and walking the dog [Ruby], after an easy trip
down the Hwy we went to The Rock SG for o/n next morning after a small shop in
town and coffee we set off.
This time heading for Tocumwal Beach, unfortunately it was closed due to the Murray in
flood, so we went to the Big Strawberry and stayed there, small annoyance when
a small group came into the park next door after pub closed. But all OK next
day after visiting into the Big Strawberry and spending a few shillings we set
off once more.
This time for Elmore ag grounds [old Rally site] but it was full of the displaced persons
from the Roschester flood, so we moved on to Moliagul free camp for the night.
While checking out the site we found a plaque informing us that Dr John Flynn
[Inland Mission and RFDS] was born in the house opposite. Also, that the
“Welcome Stranger” Nugget was found two Km down the road.
We set off next morning had lunch in Rupanyup, we visited Barbara Pittard for afternoon
tea. Left there after visiting the local CP and Dump point, pushed on to Murtoa
Stick Shed. This was a surprise at the size and listen to the story by the
guide. Leaving there we travelled on to Houptoun and Lake Lascelles where we
stayed o/n. What a great place a small area of powered sites [occupied by
locals] and the rest of the lake [covers 16 acres] was free camping, plenty of
access to the lake which is stocked yearly with Golden Perch [Yellow Belly] and
Silver Perch] there were water skiers and paddle board riders about and a lot
in swimming, girl in the next camp with a wet dog said the water was wonderful
she was a local from Patche [ Patchewollock] who was gone that night [Sunday].
We pushed on the next morning to Murrayville to Barry’s place and our tour was over. We
were joined the next day by Lance [in the Rats Nest] who has travelled down
from Armidale [with his dog “Pepper”] after the Bingara Rally, he stayed and we
are just enjoying the area.
In a couple of weeks, I will dog sit Pepper at Loveday SA while he enjoys Singapore with
his daughter, then back to Murrayville Vic to dog sit Ruby for Barry while he
enjoys the Philippines. What someone does for friends. That is another story.

Good morning everyone. We had a very warm and humid day here, until a cool change blew through mid afternoon.
All I managed to do was plant a few veggies and go to a mates for a swim.
Peter, you win the award for getting about.
We are on the bacon and egg list for tomorrow.
Safe travels everybody, have a top day.
Cheers
