The torque multiplier can produce a lot of grunt, a 1/2"socket would shatter, even a 3/4"would be struggling. The correct sockets are available at good tool suppliers, I bought a set to suit the Mazda and the Bedford bus, now I have the Ford Cargo as well I'll have to see if I need to buy more or if one of the sockets I already have do the job. Certainly a magic tool, wish they had them back when I was working on the trucks and big plan equipment.
