Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good night Shirley. I hope that you did OK at bowls. It's easy to spend money isn't it. Had Bandit at the vets today. That took care of over $400 . Sleep tight Vegemite.

Got a good deal with your dentist Shirley. David what was wrong with Mr Bandit? We did a good day out again, Went to the usual junk shops, found a shoe last thing that Ray has NOT got so after a ph call he said he wasn't allowed to get any more  No broard Axe things for David either. Then had a ph call from my old GP's receptionist to say Sheree would be heading up to the bakery at 1pm so we sat and waited for her. Did a few hugs and an awful lot of talking, more goodbye hugs and we were back to the op shop again :) Another $5 bag of stuff, all washed and stashed away. Got a bag of cherries from a roadside stall, looked lovely but no frigging taste. Poor plovers are taking shorter turns on the eggs they were sort of just screening the eggs as they were right in the sun. Tomorrow we are off to Angaston to catch up with a friend so pre setting the air con in the bus so Brian is comfy while we are out as it is going to be hot and we can't have a distressed pussy now, can we? RnBob we shall be venturing home Sunday sometime. We saw an orange Prius on our way back to the bus this arvo, going by like a cut snake so I guess it was Margaret driving ;) Time for a nice shower then to bed e buys. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D .

You are having a good adventure Dot. Better not drive behind me at the moment. All over the road, not drunk, just avoiding potholes. They just don't seem to be getting much better. xxxx

Have had a mammoth couple of days. Specialist from the last treatment was happy with his lordship's progress, will be seeing the original specialist next Thursday. Still not perfect, but visibly improving.

I had us scheduled to visit the specialist in Newcastle at the same time that we were going to see our superannuation guy in Gosford. That was embarrassing. I was sure the appointment was for Thursday. Well it ended up being Thursday when he rang to ask us were we coming on Wednesday, I was very embarrassed. The only excuse I can have is covid brain. All super money has been sorted, yet again.

While all that was happening, I was trying to sort out an issue with my printer not working. I have spent days trying to come up with an answer. I was ready to go buy a new one today, but decided to try yet again. After I had removed the program from the printer and reloaded it with all updates straight from the brother printer page it still didn't work. Luckily I found the help section on that page and after an hour of fiddle farting, I finally got to talk to a real live techno man. He helped/guided me through a fix and had it sorted. I hung up and tried to print the original problem document and it was back to no printing. Half an hour later, I finally got the same lovely man to phone me back. He tried so many different things that I could not have done until he tried to upload a newer version of the software, straight to the printer. That seems to have been the answer. It was certainly not something that I could have done. I expected to check the computer software, but certainly not the actual software on the printer. Problem solved and happy dragonlady.

I would have chucked the machine out Deborah, hate these machines. Took off early this morning 10am headed for Anguston for a visit with some friends that have just moved there. Lovely big old house and gardens. Brian was also pleased we left the air con on for him :D Much cooler now so a good sleep looks in order. Heading for home early before the temp gets too high. Have enjoyed the 2 weeks up here and looking around the area. Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight WayneP x :D

Dot, I agree the machines are a PITA, but unfortunately, I use mine a lot for business labels, signs and posters. It has to work, or else. Glad you are enjoying your escape. xxxx

Someone reminded me just how close it's getting to Christmas. I am a bit slow this year. Can't understand why  Anyway, the plan was to make the granddaughters a couple of appliqued Tshirts. I already had purchased the patterned fabrics and Tshirts, so a plan was underway. Miss 17 has always had a thing for dinosaurs and I would not have planned to make her a shirt until I saw some very good dino printed fabric. Her shirts will be dinos on a Christmas foliage background and another with just plain dinos. Miss 8, is easier to please. She is getting a unicorn, a rainbow and a Christmas teddy. There is also a plan for her to get a dino one, to go with her cousin, but I had to order another shirt for that to happen.

So far, all the fabric pictures have been cut out and ironed on to the shirts with fancy webbing stuff. Bad luck that I forgot to protect the ironing board from the glue stuff...been a long time since I did this process. Next is the glue and sprinkle glitter around the edges and onto various parts of the pictures. Each colour takes at least a day to dry and you all know that nothing I do would ever be just one colour. So now all I need is some nice hot days with no winds and the shirts will start to look like something good soon. Expecting a house full of glitter for a while. :o

Deborah, the T-shirts sound very interesting, you'll have to show us the finished products, l'm sure the g' daughters will love them.
Pleased that his lordship is improving, do you know yet if you'll make it to Forster for Christmas.

Pleased to report, our road down into Summo has had the many, many potholes repaired, been there the last few days & have actually laid new sections of road surfacing, rather than filling holes & just creating bumps. They have also laid new sections out on the highway between LM & Swansea.

Dot, where is your new block located ?
Pleased you've enjoyed your stay & I'm sure Brian would of enjoyed his aircon, the bus would get very hot closed up.

Dot, the travel home got you all stuffed, did it? Brian and you still sleeping in the bus, just for comfort? Welcome home anyways. xxxx

Shirley, thanks for the vote of confidence. I will try to give pictures of finished Tshirts, once they are done.
Christmas at Forster is still on the maybe bucket, at least until we see big honcho surgeon on Thursday.
That road into Summo has been a disaster since the huge rains, so lucky you, getting it repaired. Manno is still riddled with potholes. We only had one proper repair done and that was right in front of the town's biggest whinger! Squeaky wheel, I reckon. ;)

The first coat of glitter was put on the kids shirts and then I spent a few hours with the jewellery glue, putting earring backs onto tiny scraps of glass. There is still another day's worth of glue-ing for the earrings to be finished. Luckily, my fingers didn't seem to cop the usual amount of glue, so I am not peeling off layers of glue and skin at the same time.

Nice to hear you are back into doing arty farty things Deborah and Shirley is right, we will need to see the final glittering article. We got home about 1130am before it got too hot. George had the little car with the trailer full of tree branches so Brian and myself were in the bus. Found out just how good the bus's brakes are, reject of a woman driver decided to slam her brakes on for a R) handed turn which she overshot, missed her bumper by "that much" Air horns frightened the crap out of her though. Brian was happy to escape into the yard and to check out any cats pee that had been done while we were away. Lots of watering done and the wood chips raked back on the garden where the birds had scratched them here there and everywhere. Loads of washing done and then the place to be, in front of the telly to watch the HOLDENS win their last race, sorry Bobr   (Not) boom boom as Basil would say. Deborah i Hope the old fellas head honcho gives a good report on Thursday and you can get away. Summer was definitely here the last few days, thank goodness for air cons, how did we ever cope? I remember my dad soaking hessian sacks in water and hanging them in the window. Now these days we are to scared to turn them on because of the dam cost of the power. Hope everyone is getting better if crook. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bobr x :D
