One advantage of the Terios is that it has 4 doors.

Our Late Lamented Jim the Junior Jeep (Suzuki Jimny) did superlative service for 11 years before succumbing to a gearbox failure ... which two Suzi dealers & lots of other owners say is a remarkably rare thing.
We took ours through headlight-deep creek crossings — without a snorkel — rock scrambling and gooey mud which we floated over, after watching both a Jeep Renegade and a Nissan Patrol with 33" muddies fitted make a real meal of.

Hitch 'n' Go say they have a kit available so the Jimny can be flat towed. Will have to look into that when we finally get Jim back. Looks like we won't have it to take to Stone The Crows this yr, or Taggerty, maybe next yr.

T1,
DO NOT flat-tow Jim!!
Handbook warns against it. There's no neutral in the transfer box.
You'll need a car-carrier trailer. We have a Tilta-trailer (still in use, otherwise I'd have included it in the deal). The lightest one weighs only 300kg, and is rated for 1500kg, way plenty of capacity for a 1000kg Jimny.
Gypsy trailers are also out: handbook says if towed, rear wheels must be off the road & steering lashed in dead-ahead position (nearly impossible!).

Bernie, SteveW got the new jeep which can be flat towed BUT was ok in a straight line but when there were corners/bends that's when it hit the fan. He had all sorts of trouble with the makers to get it fixed. Some sort of kit was missing, also another person we heard about was having the same woes so Steve gave him the details to have it fixed.
