We use a square of velcro on the door and one on the fridge body for the freezer door and one for the fridge door. Then a strip of the opposite half of the velcro to catch into the squares stuck on the fridge so it acts as a strap to hold the door closed. Positioning of the fridge is generally opposite the side door, that way when you forget to put the straps on, the contents of the fridge and freezer are retained in the step well

You can buy the 240vac inverter fridge/freezer for less than the under bench fridge and it will work where the other useless things won't ..... and it won't require a defrost every second week to keep it working either because the inverter fridge/freezers are auto defrost

Yep, just a shell still , whats a good one then ...??? Have read Bushman were a prick for frosting up ,Evakool even say that in the blurb that ya have to defrost it every month, good on them ...

We have had a Bushman fridge / freezer (chest type) 12/24v for years, have not had one problem at all and have never had to defrost it at all the years we have had it

This is our Bushman Fridge / Freezer. It also comes with a collar which takes the capacity from the 45lit shown up to 51 lits. As you can see we have it on a runner with a catch so it doesn't move when traveling. (Spelling error pointed out and fixed.)

Vic-- Forget the box without wheels type, and look for a proper fridge with a freezer that you can put the ice cream in and a few tomatoes and an iceberg lettuce can go into the fridge section. You can have one shelf for the tomato and one shelf for a bit of sausage. The lettuce can go into the crisper.

On the serious side; check out the LG around the 250 size. All the features including self diagnosis. The LG units are a bit more dollar wise around $640ish before bargaining, but handle the rough road situation better due to their construction, (so I am informed) they are low 3 star rating, are inverter compressor driven. What more can you ask for. They are any colour you want as long as it is black.
There are many ways to keep the doors closed when on the road. Child locks on e-bay have a full range of various types.
