Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning All. Bad morning here, woke an hour ago with a bleeding nose which has been difficult to stop, 2nd bleed in two days and have not had a nosebleed in my life previously. May have to see a doc.

6* here with only 15 forecast along with showers, wind and light rain from midday.

Good morning, 9c still dark early start for us, off to the Mater in Newcastle today, often rains when we go to the Mater George.:D Might have to have your nose cauterised George if it continues bleeding.

Son & wife arrived home from Mauritius y'day, they had an awesome holiday, the island really caters for kite & wing surfing, he also went scuba diving & swam with dolphins, it was the second time he had holidayed at Mauritius.

Just got back from the morning walk up along the river.
We spent a good half hr or so watching a dugong feeding on the seagrass
Not sure if it's a sign of a good waterway or if it's usual feeding grounds are no longer viable. Took some pics but it's hard to make out what it is.
Cheers

Is that like a legal document regarding the validity of the nose bleed and presented to the courts?

Watched the biggest group of pelicans we have seen on our bit of the river this morning. They were herding fish and have a great feed with the shags staying just out of range grabbing any escapees  Must be a lot of small fish reaching meal size in the shallower section of our river flood plain.
At the job on Friday on the houseboat up the main part of the river from our place, the owner said they were catching decent size whiting some other fish I've never heard of, but said they were good eating, so maybe the river is coming back to life with the new water flow coming down.

How do you stop the wood stain fading Ray? We spent ages soaking all the timber for the big bus bed in a deep rose colour stain, then soaked it in stained oil and finished off with
China oil (Tung oil) with stain added .... then not sure what the last coat was but it was to stop the oil wiping off on anything that touched it.
Within 6 mths, the colour had faded to almost neutral wood colour ....

I just arrived home from John Hunter Hospital. Following the previously mentioned nosebleed which I was able to stop, at 7am it started again and it was still bleeding at 8:30 so off to hospital emergency where, eventually, had a soldering iron stuffed up both nostrils. They were unable to advise the cause of the problem but although my blood pressure was higher than it normally is, it was not high enough to be the cause of the problem.
