Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

T1, as you would well remember from when you were young and couldn't be told anything, it's all about the sound. These days the younguns like to hear the waste gate banging off. When we were kids it was a small block Chev or Ford making a few revs, and having the back tyres going faster than the front ones.
Having an EV is about the same as driving a wheel barrow, so I have been advised.
Cheers

The little car looks good Jon/ Lucas. Our soon to be 18yo gkid wants me to put a turbo on his buzz box. I told him to get a better buzz box.
We have just returned from the morning walk. It's amazing how fast you can go if you don't need to stop and wait for the dog to sniff everything.
Safe travels everybody.
And he's me thinking you done the sniffing 😏

"Words coming out a mouth that the operator has never driven an EV", that was what Cuppa was expecting when he drove our poverty pack MG4 51 and his opinion after driving it .... you have to drive one to appreciate just how quick they are.

For the noise, get one of those sound generators, Top Fuel sound track or a Cleveland on full noise, the chev just doesn't have the depth and a Windsor sounds asthmatic ..... a good well tuned 308 isn't too bad, but once you put a turbo on, the exhaust note is lost anyway.

If it's the rear wheels going faster than the front wheels, turn the traction control off ...... on a wide stretch of road with somewhere soft to land when total loss of control kicks in ..... about a millisecond after planting the foot ...

The MG4 XPOWER boasts a peak power output of 320 kW and a peak torque of 600 Nm. These figures are achieved through its dual-motor all-wheel drive system. The XPOWER's dual motors, one at 150 kW at the front and 170 kW at the rear, combine to deliver this high performance, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.8 seconds.

The 64 has 150kw and 250Nm ........ The XPower does have track mode and launch control, so you can at least stay facing forward when you get your breath back.
One of the blokes at the SA electric vehicle is a chassis and electronics engineer and full time rev-head -sanctioned licenced track racer, so he has built some amazing virtually undrivable cars that regularly took out hill climb and track day events .... He tried to drive his XPower with the traction control off for one of those gymkhana events .... he couldn't even get it off the line and still face forward, every cone involved a loop the loop, not bad performance with all 4 wheels belching out smoke ..... but not good for run times

The knockers soon shut up when they are left at the line and see nothing but tail lights ..... I thought a Prius was a pussy car, until the first time I pulled out to overtake a B double, the MG4 makes that performance a bit under whelming ..... much as I'd love to own an XPower, my licence and wallet would be in shreds within the first week I reckon

Terry, you've missed the point, either that or you have forgotten what it was like to be a teenager. Most kids can't afford a nice new rocketship. So they do stuff to get noticed. It's all about the look, and the sound.

What makes the Shire boys so funny is they are serious White Aussie Proud Boys, so to be driving a rotary and clearly not White Aussie Proud Boys, is really sticking to them

Born and dragged up in Wollongong meant the Shire Boys where on one boarder and the 'rilla boys (education level doesn't include the ability to put the Wa in front of 'rilla) were on the other boarder ...... No rush to return to those days, every cent being poured into the car, only to destroy yet another motor, so always poor no matter how much I earned ...... what I would have given to have the technology to add planetary sets and two 3 phase motors in place of a gearbox so the engine can hold its peak HP RPM ..... I would have been unbeatable
