Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Do you think as a grandfather that you could have picked up the wrong kid from pre school :? Even if it was a baby :?
I bet the old bloke got a roasting when the kids parents got home .... maybe they all look the same to him

Not many men would recognise a baby under about 18 months, because they just do not have much interactions with kids until they are walking talking and toilet trained, especially of the grandparents generation. Of course many men would find it no problem to locate their sprog amongst other children. They would be much younger men or of the rare group who do have interactions with their grandchildren.
Yes, this is the voice of much experience with children being the way of my life, for many years in similar scenarios. No I never handed the wrong kid to another adult.

Good morning.
What a pain in the backside removing that starter motor was...I guess it was installed before the engine and gearbox were put in the vehicle 😡🤬.
There is a bloke a few Ks from me who collects Ford Courier's...I've rang him and left a message... but no comeback as yet...
I was the dedicated person to pickup the G Kids from school if needed.. all four of them as they cycled through kindy and into primary school... Olivia being the last....she is in her final year...
I never got it wrong 😁😁..
Starter motor searching today..
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone, its a bright sunny morning home on the GC. I dropped Terrie at the airport yesty morn. She's back in Mulwala, her mum isn't real flash.
I'm going to make some brekky, walk the gkids dog, then head off to see the cardiologist. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with today. Apart from that, not much to report.
Good luck with the starter motor Bernie.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

Morning all.

Caught up with my mate yesterday. Had the best day. Lunch here, coffee there, just chatting.

But, a sad twist that he mentioned he didn't really have any close friends in the area. Lots of acquaintances but no one really close. Worked hard, made a decent quid.

Makes you wonder.... how do you measure 'succes'?

Well, in my case, waking up every morning… 31 years ago that wasn’t predicted or expected. 👍

Late good morning, 24c NW breeze blowing across the lake, predicted 25c today.

Bruce & I were both listed to pick up all 6 of our g’kids from pre school & school, we would never have brought the wrong kid home even if they were under 12 months old, grandparents are all different we love the relationship we have with all our grandchildren from the 11 year old to the 28 year old, love spending time with them all, I love going kayaking with Daniel 11.

I've had my Drs appointment on the phone, so I can wind down from that, next is getting ready for the trip to Adelaide for the Electric Vehicle meeting .... and maybe even a few min report on just how well the MG4 V2L worked while we were without power or simply needed a bit more power, it was good to see the house battery charging, while cooking dinner and making coffee/tea, and the fridge, hot water and air con were all going at the same time, 7 kw is a decent energy delivery, the equivalating of 2 x 15 amp power points on separate circuits running at close to full capacity ......

re picking up kids, in 1971 my sprog was 1 yr old, each morning my husb would drop him off at the baby sitters, Mrs Kelly. She was a biggish lady, drove a mini and looked after any where between 1 to maybe 10 kids ranging in all ages. My son was one of 2 very young ones. Every week day that I worked he went to Mrs Kelly with nappies and toys etc. If by any chance I finished work later Mrs K would pile all the kids into her mini and started to deliver all of them home, she even took them all shopping to Albury or Wangaratta all without any issues, When the kids went home they were mostly clean but sometimes they went home dirtier than a dunny but they were all happy and loved going to their nan Kelly. I wish she had of given my boy to someone else but crap happens  From memory I think she charged a whopping 5 pound a week. She also looked after her elderly father. She was a godsend. The kids played in the dirt, chook yards and had dogs and cats to play with and no sickies for the kids. And by the way, good morning
