Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

These would be still lab experiment stage units, unless they are semi solid state. They still can't get the cycle life it seems, always reports that they are about to start production, yet to actually see it in real life.

The newest CATL "golden" battery has tested at 1,000kms and 10 min recharge in an IM6 MG and a BYD Sealion 7 (comparative to the Tesla model Y) but no word yet when they will go into production either ...... but far more likely anytime this yr than any genuine solid state battery.

It's a tad warm here at the moment. This was from inside the MG4 measuring the outside temp, top right hand side
Hot outside MG4 centre screen 2 07-01-26.jpg
A bit blurry, sorry about that, get the shakes when it's that hot, it was hotter inside the car, even with the window reflector on, the stupid thing shut down because I wasn't sitting in it

Did my trick with the driver's window down, reach in and press the door lock button and then the window up. That kept it running ..... but the fob must be in the car somewhere, can't get in now, but I bet it's nice and cool in there now .....
The centre screen said 50 something, can't get a photo through the window tinting  Not expecting Margaret home before around 8pm, when it starts to cool off a bit

Not even going to consider walking down to the pub or club in this heat, so, under the air con vent laying on the bed I'm guessing will be the next option, after a warm water cold shower in an attempt to cool off a bit .....

Been recovering our kitchen chairs. The old covers are dirty and the fabric is splitting with wear over the many years we have had them. Gave up at 11am as the shed was getting too hot even with the evap. air conditioner on. 44deg here at the moment and a couple of more days of it to go. Bit of a battle to keep up with the water in the garden but we have a nice cooler weekend coming up. Cheers John

Survived that one, two more to go. Margaret returned early, so with that worry out of my head, I had a good long sleep

Yeah, it was on the seat  When Margaret got home, she took her back comfort pillow and put it in the MG4 because it was nice and cool .... on top of the fob, then said she couldn't find it in the MG4 ..... I didn't find it until much later, when I obediently went out and braved the mozzies to recover the pillow .... and there was the fob .... :D

Was that a company under the name of Donut Industries by chance https://insideevs.com/news/783380/first ... ial-specs/

The first line probably says it all
It’s finally happening, folks. The world’s first commercially available, production-ready all-solid-state battery is here,

How do you have a commercially available battery that is still only at the "Production ready" stage, made by a very small start up company whose only claim to fame so far involves electric motor building ...... It can't be commercially available unless it is already being produced :?

I'd be very wary that this isn't just more "Vapourware" designed to generate investor capital to "start production" ...... these vapourware companies start out with huge claims, then there are all sorts of niggly little problems that promise to be soon over come ..... until either someone takes them over, or they disappear off the radar
