What kind of numbers are you referring to? I compared 1300 Lumen in the fluorescent tube with some 400 Lumen in the LED Light and thought that would only emit a third of what we are replacing.
The 1300 lumens from the fluro are in all directions, only a small percentage of those directions makes useful light. LED's are directional, nothing directly to the sides or above, all downward light. Even if you looked at it as the light only coming from the bottom half, in other words, sideways and down but no upwards, that doubles the actual amount of light in comparison, or 800 lumens in this case, but it's actually better than 2/3rds improvement in light direction, that's 1200 lumens v 1300 lumens. As the light doesn't pulse like a fluro light does, the constant on time produces more effective light. If you were to replace a cool white fluro tube with the equal numbers of watts power used LED light, the effect would be near blinding, a lot more light for the same number of watts.

Hi

I would be careful checking the output side

These do not use the tube heaters, & have a high voltage strike over until the lamp applies a load

If the lamp works of in another unit then the problem may be in either the lamp socket[try juggling it around or twisting the tube while switched on

If t is the socket pins you MAY be able to bend them to make better contact but they are fiddly
I doubt you will find either as a spare part

Hi
re[quote]"If you were to replace a cool white fluro tube with the equal numbers of watts power used LED light, the effect would be near blinding, a lot more light for the same number of watts."[end quote]

That is purely due to energy conversion efficiency just as Fluros are more energy efficient than filament lamps & modern filament lamps are more efficient than the original carbon or iron filament lamps

A LUMEN of light is a lumen of light no matter how it is generated ;) :)
But agree, reflection & reflectors do play a big with how many LUMEN reach the work surface :) .

Happy ending...
I contacted Kedron to check whether they would have a replacement board. Within a day Kedron sent a replacement board to the Bridgetown post office. We collected it yesterday, installed it today. Problem solved.
Excellent service by Kedron at no charge.

Hi Erich, Looks like a freebee, well done. I was going to say I have 3 sitting at home that I removed to fit LEDS. You were more than wellcome to them...
We have another Kedron parked right behind us just now, they seem to popup in all the good spots...
Safe travels , Bob n Bev
