Rumble from The Concrete Jungle

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

This li'l ol' duck still got some smarts left. ;)

Already checked the where's & why's of the road closures & we are nowhere near them.

Main North Rd then left at Gepps Cross, right at Bridge Rd, left at Portrush rd then left up the big climb. After that it's all down hill to Dot's - well, sorta.

Been a Ford man for life, only ever had one Holden, that was more than enough, back to Ford again ever since. Broke with tradition recently and bought a Prado but the was only to tow behind the bus.

I really don't care any more, they all use the same gearbox, diff, brakes, chassis and engine specifications, as well as engine internals, the only difference is (the sort of) body shape, and even the driver change alliances as quickly as their driving suits. The old days when they all drove blueprinted production cars that had to have sold a set number of road going vehicles has long gone, along with any semblance of brand loyalty, The V8 supercars, got as bad as the Yanks ( who run the "sport" anyway) where, as soon as someone looks like beating them, they change the rules!
What Australian Company! Holden was a coachbuilding works that started by assembling foreign sourced mechanicals, and GM quickly buying out the works as soon as it proved profitable, then sending all their profits back to the US, and telling us what a good Australian company they are, and insisting the Gov't pay them for that privilege, go back a while and they had factories in most eastern states (where ever they could negotiate a Gov't assistance package) assembling re-badged Vauxhall and Opel cars under strict tariff and trade protection, only to quickly close them all down as soon as any competition reared its ugly head, (or the Gov't assistance dried up) all they are interested in is the bottom line collected by the parent company in the US, and laughing at the suckers.
Then for Ford, they didn't even pretend.
They both used local suppliers for whatever they could con them into providing at a cheaper price than they access them any where else. and drop them like hot cakes, as soon as they can save a cent.

Am I bitter? No just had my eyes opened!
