Crayfish pricing

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I bought two green lobster tails from ALDI [painted crays from the Bahamas] they came with garlic butter and were lovely. I think they cost $34.00.

Those aldi lobster tails were $25 a pair here a few weeks ago and they were scrumptious. Because they were tails, there was no wastage of heads n stuff, just the meat. I can happily recommend these.

I prefer to buy Australian products, but if our own products are over priced by greedy sellers, then it has to be their loss. The aldi ones were of a higher quality than I could buy locally too.

Gee I am surprised Aussie sellers are trying to rip people off. How unusual.....

To be honest the prices are always high until after the "Chinese New Year" celebrations.
http://www.chinesenewyears.info/chinese ... lendar.php
Middle of Feb 2015.
The lobsters taken from the SE of SA have a distinct flavour that isn't found anywhere else and always demand a much higher price in China.
Demand dictates price.
The recent Abbott acquired free trade agreement with China has instilled certainty into dealing with Chinese importers whereas previously it was common for buyers to simply not pay for products they ordered and had delivered.
