What system works on gal steel tanks?
Winnebago's built-in system seems to work from a random number generator.
I've had tanks read 'empty' just minutes after filling them, and '3/4 full' when the pump is cavitating for lack of water!
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Morning Jon , I was thinking of either of your suggestions...but sight gauge cant be located safely where it wouldn't come into contact with "things" in the boot (where the tank is) and no way to get to the tank easily to have dip stick and no screw cap on top of tank .
I was/am thinking of just putting a flow meter in line (ebay) has heaps ? Your thought on one of those ?
Can be put any where in line with the read out inside .
Bernie .
I was sort of being silly,.... but, since you asked.
A sight gauge doesn't have to be next to the tank. It just has to be level with the tank.
You can have a hose go out the tank, under the floor, all the way up to the front and strapped to the front.
The water will balance to the hight in the tank.
A flow meter means that you'll need to add/subract. I bought one of these a long time ago;
