Re: WILBOR TOO has left the Building
Stopped at the Little Topar roadhouse & rest area for lunch. #918 . VERY windy for the last 24 hrs and a full on head wind .Stopped at the Spring Hill RA #917 last night (better than most along this road) the road is full of pot holes but seeing there isn't a lot of traffic you are able to duck & dive to miss them
12/13th nov I want to gave a little get together for a mile stone!!
Feeling cold for the first time in 3 months..
Crappy internet and phone coverage..

Are you passing stones now Dottie, a little birdie told me a certain river boat captain becomes an old bugger on Thursday, so hope he lives long enough to make it to old age

Hey Dottie,
If you're still around the Mildura area, we's "just down the road". (Dunno where the RAs are that you mentioned.)
I know it's the wrong way for your route home... but the invitation is there if you want to do a little wine-tasting.
Otherwise, you'll have to plan another expedition to the wilds of NE Victoria!

Re: WILBOR TOO has left the Building
Was cold and raining in Roma yesterday, still cold this morning with a southerly wind blowing (off the ice caps of Mt Roma) so we headed off this morning for St George, had lunch and kept going to Dirranbandi and again kept going to Hebel. Was cool to cold all day, outside temp only reached 20 degrees at about 1400hrs. Not much here at Hebel but a great General Store and a great country pub. The store has a licensed restaurant so guess who's not cooking tonight?

Re: WILBOR TOO has left the Building
I remember we stopped in Hebel on the way to Lightening Ridge on our return honeymoon trip. A great general store and a very friendly fellow behind the counter, but that was 2005 so maybe not the same people there now
