The main dam which is approx three to four acres has a bottom of red clay right down to the reef, when it was first dug went down thirty feet.
No yabbies because soon after it was dug i put a lot of fish in it, (Yellow belly, and Murray cod) and they keep the yabbies down.
there is a few blue yabbies in one of the other smaller dams but not many.
Power on with generator back up, and solar, water to mains and several tanks for drinking.
Ps, a few trout also put in the main dam.

Add on in answer to T1 Terry, about one hundred k's west of Muckleford Terry much drier country here. Pomme
Well know I'm lost, not hard really, 100km west of Muckleford puts you a long was off from where the cross between the points you gave before and puts you out around Landsborough..... or have I got it wrong

Now you are close T1 Terry and you BruceS , you forgot to go west terry from Maryborough towards St Arnaud,
Thinking of putting in a bore, if we don"t have to go to deep for the good water, doesn't rain to often around here.

Found a spot called Carapooee out in the area you have redirected me, anywhere near that? That really sounds like an area close to the hearts of many on here if the second a is silent

Crikey, i've started something here, Dot say's keep them guessing well if you guys could see the place at the moment dry as a lime burners boot,
even the creek that runs through my p property is dry, but if you follow this creek when its running in flood, it can be as much as one hundred meters
across but it stretches right up to the Murray.
There's your devilish clue !!!
