William, hope that you can invest the money wisely and just move on. We don't choose the partners of our children, and they seem to make some unwise choices (even without us offering help). You have tried to give your kids a great start in life and they have rejected your offer. Their loss is huge, perhaps they will recognise this when they grow up. In the meantime, hope you can get out of there and enjoy life with your lovely lady.

Had a second inspection yesterday and today they rang back and said they want to proceed, so have crossed everything and started the process.
Buying the land as well so will have $1.8M to blow on wine women and song
Ha, wife don't read this does she !
Or else I would be under the soil !

I bet you're pleased it all happened so quickly and as yet without any hiccups.
