Don't think you can legally live permanently on a house boat or any other boat in Lake Macquarie, NSW, having stated that there are many folk living on crafts on the lake, the couple that own our old yacht live aboard it.

It was commonplace years ago to see many people living on yachts around Sydney Harbour.
