We had a teacher whose name was Singh. Nickname "jagged"
He used to love those 15" rulers with the thin brass strip on the edge.
Don't pay attention, you got the edge over your skull, became quite jagged after a bit !
That was where nick came from.
BUT best class attendance and marks in whole school !!!!!!!!!!
Why don't we have those teachers now ?

The reason why is the little term called political correctness. Another name could be 'My child is perfect, it is always somebody else'e fault'.
Bloody do-gooders!
