The only problem with using a solar vent is it's not a constant forced ventilation, the fan doesn't run at night. does it have to be forced ventilation? What about a simple Chinaman's hat vent? Maybe a muller vent http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Muller-Vent- ... 1c2efb9772 also good for running wiring in through from the roof.

According to the screed about the solar vents they are supposed to have a battery for night, don't know how long it would actually run for though !!!! Another thing I was thinking, (unusual) that if its sucking air then its pulling in hot air from the roof all the time.

The chinamans hat is a bit small and I would need quite a few, lots of holes in the ceiling. For a 12M bus the regs. say minimum of 420cm2 total free ventilation, minimum of 1 opening at each level.

It’s funny isn't it, you don't need permanent vents in a house when you have a gas cooktop, you can just open the door or window, hang on, you can do that with a motorhome too!!!!!!!

I have the previous model but basically the same. This is what they fit to meet the gas requirements on the Winnebago's.

Still plugging along here with the vent thing, so far the Camec 4 seasons looks pretty good. Just need to check where I ran a/c pipes and wiring conduits, bet the dam things are in the way for sure. The Camec unit has air flow even when its closed (220cm/2) fair lump of a thing though.

Did you check out the other smaller vents? (40cm x 40cm and 28cm x 28cm)

Only the Camec so far, the bride liked the idea of the bigger 4 seasons one but I am going to have a good look today to see whats going top fit. Just can't remember exactly how I ran the a/c piping and all the wiring, knew I should have taken more photos prior to adding ceiling sheets.

Why is that? Thought it would be good to have cool air blowing over you on a hot night. The rear escape hatch is over the bed now.
