Had to happen, when you put a brain dead ideological psychopath into the realm of reality, they always come out the other end screwed.

To some one like me, this is like watching a history you've already read about and are amazed at how accurate the predictions according to the evolving reality were. Just before the Rump got elected, an old European psychic predicted that the Rump would not survive his first term, she had a great track record, but when asked to give a time line, she said before xmas. Everyone laughed at her when xmases came and went and the Rump was still in power, but now there is a chance she may be right, she didn't say which xmas.

Doubt it will matter who wins the election, neither candidate has a working brain, nor do their VP candidates, all they represent is a dying ideological system, which can never be resurrected as it is way past its evolutionary use by date. Of course most humans are in denial of what is painfully obvious, the USA is collapsing internally, as is every other country. Nothing will change the direction humanity is heading, because the planet in under the control of deranged ideologies, and not one has any basis of truth in them.

Like the Rump is discovering, you can't hold up delusion for very long in the face of evolving reality and that's what we are all beginning to see now. Our government plans for the future, is more of the same, to boost the economy they are again turning to big infrastructure projects, none of which [provide for long term employment stability or a viable future, just a boost for a few short years at incredible cost and no real benefit for anyone, but multinationals and the rich.

The Rumps already dead, just hasn't laid down yet and it may well end up that this virus will see the USA election between no one, as Pelosi takes over when the Rump and Biden can't continue. Interesting times we are in, with no real idea of what is ahead.

The human race will survive, ice ages and plagues didn't kill everyone, nor did religious nut cases, but it sure set it back a long way ..... no doubt the next rise of the human population will make much the same mistakes, either irradiate the planet or "Skynet" will become self aware and kill off the parasites that infect the planet

The ABC news had footage of him walking from the helicopter to I'm guessing the hospital, but who knows if the footage was current or library film released by the white house .... who knows if the social media video was pre recorded as well .... when it comes to anything to do with Donald, you are never sure if it's the real thing or "faked news"

Not to be argumentative, but we don't know what's ahead. Sure science makes predictions, but so far they have been way out in timing and effect. We can all make predictions from what we see and what the science tell us, but they are only guesses.

If humanity survives the next 50 years, I doubt we will make the same mistakes as those that will be left will have altered their lifestyles and approach to cope with the changes. Of course if any ideologues survive in numbers, then it may well be that the same mistakes will be made again. The only problem is by that time, the fools will have used up all the fossil fuels and most resources, as there aim it to dig it up as fast as possible without thought for what those who come after them will do for resources and a viable environment.

What frightens me is news that 42% of Republicans say they’d vote for President Clown regardless of what he does!
I assume that includes the loopy fundamentalist Christians who believe he was sent by God to save America from Communism/Socialism. (Which they see as identical. Obamacare is seen as a Communist plot.)
And although I didn’t see it, and SWMBO can’t remember where she saw/heard it, there apparently was a survey report that 33% of Republican voters said that if he lost the election, violence would be justified!
IF he wins, the world will become a far more dangerous place...
And if he loses, America will...

Wikipedia has it, but with an unattributed quote.

Just saw news footage of President Clown's little drive outside the hospital to wave to his supporters.

Now, what did that cost American taxpayers?

A convoy of five armoured limos, squads of heavily-armed Secret Service members, doctors on exclusive standby, helicopter surveillance, traffic control (complete with local coppers on point duty)... etc, etc.

And how many staff did he put at risk of contracting Covid-19?

I note everyone in the Presidential Limo wore masks, (even The Clown himself! ) but our local medicos say that, while it offers greatly improved protection, a mask does not offer 100% safety.

All so President Clown could wave through the window to a bunch of about 20~30 ratbags. None of whom were socially distancing or wearing masks...

Must be election year, or something...
