Genuine ignorance!
All pop culture references related to "Big Bang Theory" Not sure if it got funnier and funnier as the series went on or I just got more and more warped I can still watch the re-runs and laugh at bits I missed the first time through ... either that or I'd forgotten the gags .... probably the latter actually

T1,
This explains a lot. I have never watched “Big Bang Theory”.
The promos were enough to turn me off.
Ditto “Home & Away”, “Absolutely Fabulous” and a long list of Yank ‘comedy’ shows.
My humour is more “Black Books”, “Red Dwarf”, “Black Adder”, and of course the whole output of “Monty Python” and the “Goon Show” on radio.
(Can’t you tell? )
Regards & God bless,
Ray

"tanks" here---Ray,
So, what about Mrs Browns' Boys.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
Tanks,
I do enjoy the English sense of humour (obviously) but a show built around a bloke in drag is not included.
I can enjoy the best lines in the promos: “We’ve been together through thick and thin... I was always the thin.”
Good writers, shame about the show.
I prefer “Keeping Up Appearences”.
The pretentiousness of “that Bucket woman” is always a good belly laugh.

If you like Red Dawf, I think you would like Big Bang Theory. The wit is not typical yank but very quick shots at each other's weirdisms because they are all total nerds ..... some of the other characters that get introduced through the series and the celebrity appearances including Steven Hawkins on more than one occasion, really seem to flow well because the cast just work so well of each other .....
A favourite was Firefly, axed way too early in its life ending with the movie Serenity, produced by Josh Whedon who also makes many appearances on Big Bang Theory throughout the series

A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
Those who struggle to become a leader, rarely know a clear direction forward for anyone but themselves
I enjoy Mrs Browns Boys and get a good laugh from the show but it has become predictable. If I need a good laugh I just stand up and look in the mirror...dressed of course.
