Oz Day fuss

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot my nephew's partner won Aboriginal Midwife/ Nurse of the year award NSW 2020, she dedicated it to her recently deceased G'mother saying that she was the rock of the family. 👏👏

Our local Metro Servo owned by an Indian is having an Australia Day sausage sizzle starting at 7.30am, any donations to our local rural fire brigade, definitely we are one we are many.

This is a true story from 1972. I had just started nursing and it was my day in the geriatric ward. We were given our days patients and off we went. There was one old BITCH spinster and no nicer word could suit her. My side kick went to get this thing out of her bed when the nasty thing, turned and said"Get your filthy black hands off me" Needless to say that thing was put back in her bed and no one would tend to her apart from taking her to the toilet. That was my first taste of racism , I remember that womans name and the sheer hate in her voice. The young girl was stunned but let it go over her head and she turned out a great nurse. BTW she was not full blood by any means, looked like anyone else. So the end result for me is I am racist to that old bitch and not the young girl with aboriginal heritage.

Dot, both my daughter in laws have experienced unacceptable racism here in Australia, don't think it will ever be eradicated nor do I think class will ever be eradicated so many people just think that they are better than others.

Unfortunately the actions of some people set the ideas of how the rest of the people react to them.
Now before you start with the racist stuff look at the so-called Trailer Trash in the USA, the Gypsies in the UK and EU.
Unfortunately the actions of a few set how the rest are classified.

The last paragraph on your post is historically incorrect.
There were/was no Nation here when the fleet arrived, historically, there were groups of warring family tribes that spoke up to 400 different languages.
These tribes invaded the country and wiped out the first( or previous ) inhabitants, so maybe it's history repeating again.
And for any further information, the Australian Constitution does not split races but includes all under the Australian Flag, many of which proudly fought and died for in the last 2 big wars.

Google The history of Oomburgulli and the Forrest creek massacre.

If you have not sat down and talked to the old people in the Kimberley you will never understand.

If there's going to be an Australia day of any sort, it should be the day Aus became a federation, it's a load of BS and just another ideological con job.

There will always be a fuss as long as there are ideological vested interests involved and sadly, that's what all the fuss is about, ideology and nothing else. The day everyone looks to the future and not the past will be a real Aus day, until then we are on borrowed time no matter our beliefs or cultural orientation.

And the truth is out and it is all down to money, PAY every aboriginal 1 million dollars and it is all over, ok lets define a aboriginal as 75% of them I have seen have more white blood than black and I have know many true aboriginals in my life and they have been welcome in my home.

Until the aboriginals relies that the only ones who can help them are themselves then they will never have what they want and demand because they will always pull themselves down
