Re: Diesal Heater Problem
THANKS Bernie but they do not do any workshop repairs but all good. Read below.
All good at the moment Molly went through the book then I did, one point on high temperature on the shell of the unit caught my eye. Lifted the bed for a look and was hit by a blast of hot air.
One of the ducting pipes had come off and directing all the hot air around under the mattress. Pushed it back on and heater has been running for near two hours.
Some times it is the simplest of things that create the problem.
Thank you for all your suggestions Robert.

Re: Diesal Heater Problem
The fan has died on our unit at a whole 1 week old. I'll put it to the supplier and see what they say .... I bought it outside e bay so maybe he'll just tell me to p#ss off, maybe he will offer a replacement at a reduced cost through e bay ....

Re: Diesal Heater Problem
Terry,
The fan is PWM. There is a magnet and sensor on the external fan to detect speed. Is the fan spinning up at all?
I retro-fitted one of these into my heater.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003578134305.html? Blue unit with cable, board and remote. Quite happy with it.

Re: Diesal Heater Problem
Doesn't spin at all, brings up a code that relates to fan failure. I'll check out the aliexpress item you linked to and see if it looks the samejon_d wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 4:37 pm Terry,

Re: Diesal Heater Problem
There is a magnet in the fan impeller for the speed detection. If that part fails, usually the fan spins really really fast for a little while. The hall effect sensor is the little thing on legs hang down of the circiut baord.
or the fan power /pwm plug has fallen off the circuit board.
plus, there is a configuration setting in the controller that reflect if there is 1 or 2 magnets.

Re: Diesal Heater Problem
When I finish the off grid set up and rebuilding scavenged bench frames from the workshop to go in my mini workshop, I'll check out just what the diesel heater issue is ......jon_d wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 7:23 pm There is a magnet in the fan impeller for the speed detection.
