Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. Had a great day, I was in bed after slight warning of an anaphylactic shock episode due to the contrast dye of a CT.. Then 2 weeks later the neck man felt a "lump" on my neck so off for CT. I told them that I had a slight reaction to the dye (lost consciousness) but the Dr said ok to go ahead Then I remember just people rubbing my feet etc then I heard the words "ring the Ambulance" next thing I remember there was the ambo people putting an IV in my arm and then on to the trolley in amb lights and sirens going. Stayed in hosp until my BP had improved from 50/21   Bastards don't listen so that has made me even more vigilant when they say ok to doing things to my body. I got very close to meeting my maker that day. So I get to have another birthday next year , Thanks everyone.

Dot my eldest son had an allergic reaction to Flagyl when he was about 18, after taking same he went into anaphylactic shock, couldn’t breathe it was 5.30am he was pressing his buzzer no nurse arrived so he thru his stainless dish down onto the floor & out the door, attention at last, he was in the Private hospital, fortunately an anaesthetist was arriving for his scheduled operations, he treated him & he was rushed to the local state hospital where he spent several days, it was a scary experience for him & us when we received the phone call to say that he was being transferred.

Wow, after your experience no more dye injections for CT scans, definitely allergic to same 😡
