What's new in the EV market for this year

The move is on, that swing in the bell curve from early adopters to accepted progess is well under way, just like the swing away from lead acid batteries a few yrs back.

ICE powered vehicles are already becoming a rare sight in China, the Japanese and European car manufacturers are struggling against the Chinese EV invasion and a number of them will most likely hit the wall, Nissan is already in real trouble and Toyota have already entered the EV market and were the pioneers in the hybrid market .... so pure ICE powered vehicle will start to become a rare commodity in new car showrooms.
I can't see a sudden flood of US tanks being converted from LHD to RHD ever happening, the US automotive sector tooling up to produce RHD vehicles is highly unlikely for quite some time and by then, there won't be a market for them.

The profit margin to import petrol at the low price we are seeing recently, will be stripping fuel companies and their shareholders of $$ they could be earning doing something else ..... so I'd imagine there will be a flood of charging stations under fuel company banners appearing soon, many are already covering their roof area in solar panels ..... battery storage will be the next move at these sites, then selling their own sun generated power to EV owners will be a huge "Green washing" thing as they move away from fossil fuel.

The Koch Bros have already moved away from the petroleum industry, after spending so much money trying to discredit the EV industry ..... even they have realised they are fighting a losing battle .......

As less fuel passes through the refineries, the greater the cost per ltr fuel processing will become, the greater to cost of moving it and therefore, the greater the cost per ltr at the pump .... owning an ICE powered vehicle will become a rich man's game .... just trying to get one repaired at the moment is becoming a very expensive and time off the road event ..... can you see a kid out of school devoting the first 4 yrs of his working life training up on a career that they will already realise is a dead in path?

UK based so the charging from solar is very different, how good would it be to get 30 cents/kwh for putting your solar into the grid during the day ......

Thought it might be of interest to those who might be thinking of making the move ..... while your trade in still has some value

Hopefully, the price of the charger will come down a bit, with a bit more uptake. I wonder how long before the Chinese knock off becomes available.
One day, maybe, Mr Tesla will allow an update, and let Tesla be used as a supply source.

That would only happen if it used the NACS exclusively and only produced 110vac @ 60hz ..... and he was the first to release it, Elon Ego Musk would never support someone else's idea .... unless he made money out of it
