Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Busy lady Deborah, I can vouch how strong those magnets are
Weird day today, went to a friends funeral this morning, a big one at that, bloody cancer, he was a nice man. He was a ffffford man and the funeral director had the last laugh as the hearse is a HOLDEN
I could not believe how people dressed for the occasion, one word = Scruffy, because of roadworks on the normal road back to strath it was decided to take the other road and treat it as a scenic drive, the FD asked us to follow the hearse with lights on and the speed would be slow. Made me laugh because in 1966 my dad had a Willeys jeep and mum dad & I were going to Tatura from Merrigum when we came up behind a very slow funeral procession, well out in the country , flat roads dad was peed off as mum had a Drs appointment and so he went down a gear or two and zoomed past the mile or so long line of cars, cussing all the way about putting off the inevitable. The road we were going to take today to the cemetery is double lines for 24 ks
We didn't go to the planting as we had another appointment in town. I thought this past Monday was a public holiday but noooo it is next Monday Time for bed so Goodnight everyone x Goodnight jd x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, at our age funerals become a fact of life, but it still makes no difference to how hard they are. Hope you had no dramas on the drive home. You can have Monday off, if you like xxxx
I have been so busy, that I am taking some time off. All equipment in my shed has been unplugged from the power points, floor swept and leads all lifted high above the flood level. Never know if it may rain or not, but it was this weekend that we had our biggest floods several years ago. We have packed the van with almost all that we may need and will be off in the morning. Destination Tuncurry to be with our jayco mob. Right now it's 10degrees, so expecting it to be a very cold outing. It's queens birthday weekend this weekend for us , so we leave home tomorrow and will return Tuesday, to avoid traffic and double demerit points which are not really an incentive, just a pain if you let the pedal move just a tiny bit too far.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hi Dot, I'm early. Too cold to sit up late so I will be going to thaw out in bed soon.xxxx
Travelled to Tuncurry with no dramas except it was cold when we got out of the car for our stops and coffee breaks. It really is just as cold and windy as home, but we will be sharing the cold with mates.
We did spy a sneaky radar trap, but as we were doing 5 under the limit, no dramas. It's a workday for truckies and there were plenty of them on the road. Our reasoning is that it's dual laned road and we stay left and give them the road. Works for us.
That warm bed is definitely summoning me

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
PJ day again
Now the steroid jab to my thumb has worn off I am now back to square 1 so seeing the hand man in a couple of weeks then I guess it will be the chop shop for a day a couple of weeks after that
Are we ever going to be able to get away this year? not looking like it. Heading to the block tomorrow to check the grass/weed situation, then off to Mannum to check out the place where we are taking the bus then we just may meander across the road to have a coffee with the T1 people, have to take something to have with the coffee ????Hope the weather is better than today. Off for shower now so keep safe everyone and warm. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, you are asking the same questions that we are asking. Will the health issues slow down enough for us all to get in our escapes? xxxx
It has been cold and windy, but lovely to be with our second family. It has been worth the discomfit of the crappy weather. Our happy hour was on an empty site that had a lot of sunshine on it. It was disrupted by the arrival of one of our mates who was going on that very site. This park has a lot of expensive fake grass and you are not allowed to park your van on it. The park sends out a tractor to put each van on site and it is really a great way to start off. We don't really have rows over putting the van on site, but it does take out some of the stress. Also there is no way for arguments about how any van is on a site. The tractor men have every van exactly sited on the line between sites so that everyone has the full use of their site. It's a very clean park too. This morning the fake grass sites that were vacant, all had a vaccuum run over them, until the sites were spotless.
Off to thaw out early again, so night all xxx

Deb,
When the CP people finished vacuuming their artificial grass, did they bring out the floor polisher?

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Very nice day it was today, sun out just a little bit of drizzle. Headed to the block, no issues with weeds or grass, to the Birdwood op shop with a heap of stuff to donate but also came out with a lovely coat for me and a great jacket for G man . $2 each.
Ended up in Mannum along with some lemons and a freshly made banana caramel /cream pie. Margaret & Brian weren't there so Terry had their share and so I had to leave a good sized chunk so it looked as if we left it esp for Margaret & Brian...
Then we headed over the road to the place that we are taking the bus to next week to check em out, nice friendly guy that was happy to answer questions, so we shall see. Terry showed me the wiring he was talking about in the caravan he is doing and even I could see the non existent workmanship /safety just lucky the owner wasn't zapped. Boys on bikes doing a fast ride today, been a good tour so far, nice to see Froomey back again, not like he was but we couldn't do it
And to top my day off my Bombers lost again but it was great to see Hirdy, Loydy and Sheedy all together on the G. Oh well that's it for tonight it's bed time so Goodnight everyone x
