Dot my maiden name was Sheedy, I reckon Kevin Sheedy is related to us, he looks exactly like my grandfather, always been going to look into the family tree maybe one day.
A little warmer here today, just wish the westerly wind would subside.

Shirley, the winds are just horrible over the lake at the moment.

We have enjoyed being out of the severe winds at home, but the wind here is just as icy and the temps are just as cold. Last night, we ventured to the local Bowlo for dinner, with a large group of us. That was not a memorable meal for all the wrong reasons. The food was disgusting, mostly cold and just a waste of money. Luckily the company was great and we had a good night, despite the crappy food.

Today, the park put on a band on the waterfront. The music was easy listening stuff, but so flamin loud. We all sat around near our van, still enjoyed the entertainment and had some of our own making as well. A good day was had by all.

My g'mothers maiden name was Sheedy, from Limerick Ireland [think].
Maybe we should have a reunion some day!

Yep, Peter the family was from Ireland, my g'father grew up in Hunters Hill, Sydney, he had one brother, he owned a sign writing company in Redfern, traded 1908 - 1982 & that's about all I know about his family.

Nice day compared to the last week or two. Watched the boys on bikes, now watching "The Shining" spooky huh Lots of F bombs in it. My one wish was to see Andrea Bocelli in concert, he is doing shows in just about every state but Adelaide, . I wanna go. Time to say Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Pet-els x

Ray, getting my niece looking into possibilities for us. George found an emaciated rat in his shed, it must of had a good feed of the rat sack he put down ages ago That will teach it. Brian had to be taken out side today as he was not going to go out on his own as the weather was nasty, he had time to do his business and was back in his bed rather fast. Yesterday was a big BBQ lunch besides the water and we stayed out for the rest of the day. It was great to finally have some good times with our jayco mob.
Today we went across the bridge to Forster to visit our ex-neighbours. They lived next to us in Sydney for twenty years, so when they moved up here to Forster, we had to visit them. They are in a brand new old farts complex. Lovely house, but no back yard, no land around then at all and no privacy from their nearest neighbours. They are happy , so far, but not for us. We will see them again at Christmas

This afternoon, we had a smaller happy hour, because some of the younger members needed to return for work etc. Because it was a smaller group of about 30 people, we certainly got to speak with a lot more people. It was really good and we stayed out quite late, because the winds have died down a lot and we had a good time.
