Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I never made the trip to the block extremely tired, so G did it by himself. Last night G called into the man's place for the $$ owing he wasn't home so son said he would pass on that G came. Late this arvo there was an envelope in the mailbox and believe it or not the $$ was there. Pays to Hussle.
. Been rather humid today there was a great lightning and thunder show last night, Brian wasn't too impressed, but he slept through most of it. Hope everyone is staying fit for Christmas Time
for a shower and back to bed for me. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Gee Dot, getting tired is not part of this Christmas lark is it?
Good to see that you are taking breaks when you feel they are needed. Obviously following up for the dosh was a smart thing. Good for you xxxx
George, I am enjoying your trip and not feeling the snow.
Thanks for sharing your lovely pics with us.
Today I had a bonus day too. First off we did the woolies run and got all the food things that I can imagine we need for Christmas. Checked a lot of use by dates and most of them were by January, so no dramas. They only had 4 fresh chookens left in the display and luckily 2 of them are over 2 kilos each, so that's what I bought. Got to the checkout and dreaded the thought of the expense, only to find that there was $70 in Christmas bonus from our woolies card, so that halved the shopping dollars. Next stop, petrol. Did some quick calculations and found that our regional seniors travel cards had the exact amount left on them to pay for my full tank. A full tank of petrol FREE, must thank that pollie who decided to give us those cards.
No more freebies, but we came home to find a parcel on the door step. It was the ironing board cover that I ordered last month. I was surprised at how lovely it looks, then had a good idea. The DIL has very few presents in her pile from us and she absolutely loves ironing (weird I know, but then she also loves our son so it takes all kinds). I just ordered another similar one for me tonight and now I think she will get at least get a present that she will enjoy.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, you having an early night ? Stay sane mate xxxx
George, don't forget the camera
Did some more Christmas organisation stuff. Filled all the necessary stockings and realise just how few presents have been purchased this year. Because we haven't left home much, the temptations of market stalls and fancy shops has been non existent, so not a lot of presents. They will have to be happy just to have us.
I have all the preparations up to date and am starting to wind down a bit now. Daughter is coming to stay tomorrow to "help" with the cooking. Really? The biscuits have been done and the rest is just all done on auto pilot. Thankfully we don't need to do the hot roast turkey (yuck) and all the vegies. Roast chooks, garlic bread and a couple of fancy salads will do. Pavlova for afters. No extra stress needed.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I see Deborah is a lurking, hope the old fella is behaving himself. Another day of just a bit of sorting out papers and stuff. Change of plans for the weekend, G's elbow is still playing up so he can't hook the car and bus up so we shall be going to lunch by car only. Nothing exciting happened today so am saying goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Deborah x
Huh you beat me to it
Oh I see NC George is a lurking, hope he has pics for us
