Dot, you have been super busy. The kiln isn't really calling at the moment, bit hot here for a start. I also have no definite bookings for any festivals yet and still have six months worth of stock already packed up. I do need to sell some more stuff before getting into the kiln again. xxxx
Last night our daughter and family finally left us. They had a long wait for the pacific Highway to be re-opened after a truck fire near the Hawkesbury Bridge. They still managed to get home before midnight and all is good. If they had stayed until this morning, they would have been in another long queue, with a five vehicle pile up on the Hawkesbury Bridge with all lanes in both directions closed for a few hours. I don't understand why there is no copper aiming his camera at the bridge at all times. It's just a common place for accidents. For reference for you travellers, never plan to cross the Hawkesbury in holiday seasons, school holidays or peak hours. The whole area is bedlam.
I started to return things to their usual homes in bedrooms that were occupied this week. The boxes of drugs from the caravan were the first to get the treatment. I always bring them upstairs to keep them cooler than in the van, but as we haven't used the van for several months, many things were now out of date. I replaced about half of the pill boxes with much fresher ones and have a basket full of stuff to be disposed of. Just reading the tiny use by dates is what has taken me so much time. Why are they written so small?
Apart from finding the lair, nothing much is happening here and tranquility can now drop on us.

If you are on Safety Net with your prescriptions, then today is the last day for the "free supply" before reverting to the start of the new Safety Net period for 2023.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Good afternoon Dot, busy y'day, went kayaking with the boys, having trouble even keeping up with the youngest two, so retired early, falling asleep watching telly.
they didn't go home till 6.30.

Dot, time for a change of scenery for you and take a break mate xxxx
George stunning pictures again. You are saving me the air fare mate, so super thanks.
Keith, you got that right about the freebie drugs. Now it's back to paying the elcheapo pension rate again until roughly, the end of March, when we will qualify for the freebies again. Yes, between us, we do have to take an awful lot of prescription drugs, but we are still here to annoy the world.
Happy New Year to all. The fireworks are still banging on here, it's only 12:42 am. I don't know why it seems, the local and imported Lebs are the main source of these pretty explosions. For something that is meant to be illegal in this state, there are a heck of a lot of them banging on. Our Leb neighbours are the worst, but some more Lebs have bought a mates place, up the road, and they are in competition with our usual bangers. Glad you enjoyed the frivolity around here Shirley.
I spent the day sorting through the business administrivia and making a spreadsheet of the years events, what's been paid for etc. That was a huge weight off my mind. If we are to get back to normal events, I have to be organised.
The rest of the day was spent taking lots of photos off the phone and developing a file of things to put up on our calendar. The computer was not happy to take more than 5 or 6 pics at a time, so it was a very long job. Tomorrow, I will make a start on the calendar....maybe.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, you think you have a lot of glass dishes to be thrown out?
I have a huge pile of them and still adding to the pile whenever the kiln gets warmed up!
Stay cool down there mate xxxx
Not a lot of interesting things happening here. The leftovers in the fridge seem to be feeding us enough to not bother cooking any more.
I wasted 6 & 1/2 hours making this years calendar. I hate doing it, but love to see the kids faces whenever I look at the thing. I don't think I will use vistaprint again for calendars. Last year I sent them a polite email defining the issues with their new software and from what I can see, nothing has changed at all. If anything, it was even slower to work with today. I think I will have to experiment with some other printing companies and see how they do calendars for next year.
