Yep mechanics gloves Bruce . Some time I don't get what goes into the heads of designers the outlet on the rocker box is 15mm the inlet on the manifold is 20mm go figure?
So can one buy a 20mm fitting as per picture ?

Bernie if the threaded side is NPT thread then you'll need to find a bloody good supplier.
I recently tried to find a 20mm one like you're after to run a 3/4" suction hose for the water supply to my generator...........
Daish Irrigation had none in stock & looked up several manuals & none available. I ended up slipping an inch long piece of clear plastic pipe on first & then the 3/4" hose over that & then clamped.
Clear was like on fish tanks etc.... cheap crap will do.
I ran a bit(drill) through the guts of the original fitting as it had a thick wall. Got several sizes bigger hole.
You might be happy with one of those cheaper black poly irrigation fittings? Just use a short bit of 15mm on one side... 20mm on the other.

Bunnings stock 20mm brass fittings. They don't stock imperial.

Do you have an Enzed or Pirtek in town. They'll have them
Also noticed that Total Tools have brass fittings when I walked though the other day.

Jon I might be wrong but the fitting I was after & it looks the same as what Bernie is after is actually ....
1/4" NPT male to 3/4" barb.
I already had the 1/4" NPT to 1/2" barb. (1/2" garden hose fitted it & I wanted 3/4" garden hose size)
Yes, I know! I have no idea why they say 1/4" ......... must be the hole size?
Take one of the existing ones with you Bernie.

Jon if you look at the table here you'll see that 1/4" NPT is really around 1/2" OD !!!

Just like electrical wire sizes ... just doesn't make much sense!!

Can't easily see one on line.
Might be a case of silver soldering two things together.

I see you lot have been talking behind my back again .
Jon I live in a small rural community we do have a small hardware shop which in most cases doesn't have what you want , also a small Ag shop .
I didn't go to Biggenden yesterday to see what they may have . I do have time up my sleeve as I'm still to remove the oil cooler cover , then I'll know what gaskets I will need to buy and or new oil cover that will mean a drive to Maryborough to order said parts . I can order them and pay for them and then have them sent direct to my add so not to have to do the 200K round trip to pick them up .
I was of a mind as you said Jon to silver solder if I cant find suitable fittings . Bruce to take the fittings with me would mean taking either the inlet manifold or the rocker box with me , the male fittings are pressed in not screwed...as I feel on some days...
Thanks for the support .
Jon I'm going to need to know how to time the injector pump to TDC on number one piston , as I don't know for sure where it now sits .

Bernie,

For said Isuzu parts, I can pick them up from Dandenong Isuzu and post them to you. (03 9215 2300)
It may be worthwhile getting one of these:

I have one like this:

has all the diagrams and part numbers. (the gasket photo I sent is a sample)
