Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Now that last pic looks like an Iris and I think it is fantastic. :D I have done absolutely nothing today and I am not going to start now and maybe not even tomorrow either. We always buy tickets in the Hospitals research lottery and pay off today we won 6 bottles of Australia Wines. Last year we won a First Aid course. . Must be getting close to the big one. BOB's was good tonight Shirley what on earth is Halekulani ( Budgewoi ) ??? I think we need to get a new lawn, what ever we do the rotten winter grass and some other invaders start to take over the lawn even though we use weed and feed and one just for winter grass. ?? Time to start getting the bus ready again for our 3 weeks over on the Yorke peninsular in a few weeks. Tanks is still in a lot of pain and still has not got his computer that will let him onto the forum. Bed time now, Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight 2 foot 6 aka Peter x :D

Good morning Dot, we played Halekulani Bowling Club, that is the correct name of the area but is more commonly known as Budgewoi which is the adjoining area, it is known as Hali Club amongst bowling folk, the public school is in Halekulani but is known as Budgewoi Puplic school, crazy even mail gets mixed up. Always has apparently. :?

Dot, so long as it looks green you should be happy I reckon.
Everytime we go away for more than a week or so, most of our garden does its best to turn yellow. I wouldn't attempt to call our patch of grass out the front, lawn.Too much sand, not enough soil around here. Maybe one day I'll make it into a decent lawn.
Cheers

We have 3/4 acre of Buffalo & Kikuyu out front (minus the 10 garden bed areas, so probably = 1/4 acre or less :P ).
The 1/2 acre of back yard is all kikuyu, (after 2y6mths battle to establish most of it) which the girls are doing their best to dig up piece by piece doing zoomies.
We have odd patches of winter grass (which the girls keep eating) but when it dies back the kikuyu roars back into dominance.
Oh, and we have Cape Weed which is trying to invade from next door. SWMBO is onto it like a hawk with Bicambar-M (?sp?) which makes it curl its toes in 48hrs. :D

Finally we can sit back, relax (most of the time) and enjoy the green. :D :D :D
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Hate Cape Weed. Taggerty was full of it. After about 13 years, the native grasses and things are out competing it. I think the over grazing from the previous owner triggered it originally.

My physio uses a small "flame thrower" Tanks sent me the 1st quarter of the Bombers v Geelong game and not impressed, looks like we will not make the finals this year :( :( BOB's have had a fair amount of crashes and still have 117 ks to go all the way up into the Alps. My boy Wault Van Aert #6 for Jumbo Visma is still safe. :D Off to the shower now before the big steep climb's start. Take care on the roads everyone and goodnight to one and all x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D

'Nite & morning Dot.

We also watched the Bob's from 9:30pm - 11pm, then catch up the following day with an abreviated replay of the end game... last nights was a total mess with all the crashes.

Some big smashes in the race earlier on, as usual caused by rejects in the crowd. Just did some washing today. Off to the city in the morning for a bone scan. Not mentioning my footy team, we got smashed by 77 points  Might grab a round bale of hay for the garden esp around the fruit trees to keep any warmth in. It is 4 deg outside brrrrr. Had a laugh at Mrs Browns Boys but back to the BOB's doing it tough in the high mountains. 47ks to go so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert n Bob x :D

What a long day, headed to town at 10am in for body scan, went into the scan room and the nice lady gave me a little prick  in the arm tied my ankles together and my arms through a velcro arm holder and did a test run on mt legs. She then said to go away for 3 hrs and be back by 3pm for the last part of the scan. I thought it had been done but no, back into the ankle ties and arm straps 1/ head straight,2 &3 L) side R) side of head. 4/ ribs L) & R) side. 5/ guts & hips. 6/ legs then finally the feet. Not like the usual CT or MRI scan not as noisy. After all of that I was let go and home by 4.45pm Managed to go to Ikea in between scans, not really impressed with that place any more plus screaming sprogs running wild. . Wait and see, I was only expecting the shins and feet to be done but Hmmmm. Anyway no bikes tonight and no tennis either Brians food was delivered today so he is right for the next 6 months. Good to see Tanks is back on line. It was so cold last night and another cold one expected tonight Currently 8 degs. so pretty soon I am off for a nice HOT shower and bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Macca x :D :D PS Did you hear that Frazer Island is no longer that It is now xyz and I don't know how to spell it.

Dot, was that meant to be a bone density scan or something a bit more? I am sick of the damned name changing, it's just as much our country as it was theirs. All Australians have been calling places by their English names for over two hundred years and what have the indigenous people been calling these places for the last one hundred years at least? I really do not think they will be able to remember the strange new names either. xxxx

George, your news is terrifying. Hope your daughter is getting the very best of care and you will be able to be with her soon. Fingers crossed mate, she is on our prayer list now.xxx

That damned plate has given me muscles on my scrubbing hands/arms. After I cleaned it back to beautiful, it was sent to the kiln to be cleaned up , sitting on the most expensive kiln firing paper. When it came out, yesterday, the paper had stuck to it and it needed more scrubbing and deep cleaning. Last night, it was returned clean, on top of some of the cheaper, but very reliable, kiln firing paper. This morning, it had stuck to that paper as well and looked just as bad as it did on the first firing. I did a lot of scrubbing and sanding and it does not look that great. I decided that this is how this plate wants to look. It's in tonight being shaped as a bowl, but I am not promising that this will be the last firing, until I see how it landed into the bottom of the bowl.

sweet dreams xxx
Deborah
