Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

thanks Bruce, our friend only found out last week he was diabetic so I am not sure which type etc he actually is? find out when we get home. Have never come across the plug in splitter thing and won't bother as we get it all on the satellite, just wanted to know what is was. Went to the local bowls club (over the road) for tea tonight, hmmm G had schnitzel and said it was a bit tough and it had been deep fried?? I had a piece of fish salad and chips, managed ok but the chips were to much for me. Some patchy rain off and on today. Heading off tomorrow towards the Barossa to visit a friend then home I guess and back to the same ol same ol. Has been good to see another part of South Aust. Hope all is ok with everyone so Goodnight all x :D Goodnight 2 foot 6 x :D

Dot, your exploring sounds good. Hope you find some really interesting things and people, along the way. xxxx

Yesterday we pulled into Duraringa pub, only to find the camping area was surrounded by cyclone fencing wire. I ventured into the pub and was told to camp elsewhere,,,not a very friendly barmaid. We ended up at Mt Hay. Bugger of gravel road, up a mountain, to get in and out. Once up there, no communications at all. So it was just chat a bit and read.

Today we did a short drive to Rockhampton. Going down the gravel road was a bit hairy, but we live to tell the tale. Car is filthy again. Tomorrow, we will be setting up our wares in the showground pavilion and hopefully it will all be there on Saturday when we start to try to flog our wares.

goodnight all xxx

Deb, for future ref: there is an ideal free camping ground at Duraringaand is well maintained by the locals. Highly recommended as I have camped there several times. Give the service station a miss--even the takeaway food is crook.
Keith.

We got to Owen yesterday arvo (free camp ) at the oval, sign says self contained vehicles only But as usual tents and vans with hoses out on the grass etc, G got talking to the (full timer) and found out it is no longer a footy field as not enough players and the place is going to rack and ruin If you want power go to the post office and give donation yeah right ! there are loos and some water and plenty of room and a 4k walk around the perimeter, quite good but too far for me so I did about 1k . ordered tea from the local pub. G picked it up at 6pm, hmm not again, I got a chicken scht deep fried and crumbed but burnt to buggery, G had fish which was ok (we swapped) had a salad and chips plus gravy. Bloody awful to be honest. Will let the pub know as well. Heading off to Angaston tomorrow then home in the next few days. We have been so lucky with the weather since we left home, not too much rain at all, mostly fine days but cool nights. Will drop in at the block on the way home to check for weeds and plovers maybe  . Not going to mention the terrible loss of my footy team belting today, out of the finals. Boo hoo next year maybe. Hope your sales are going well Deborah. Hey Shirley we met a man from Waikerie that was going to have a game of bowls at the Yorketown bowling club (visitors day) apparently, he is quite good at them. Talk about an accent, he was in his 70's, had been in Oz for 70yrs and had such a broad Scottish accent had to keep asking him to repeat what he said  Ok hope all you sickies are getting better and I bid thee goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Pet-els x :D

Goodnight Dot,
Why the Parma is burnt is, they put them into the deep fryer frozen and they over cook as they thaw out.

Dot, some places the food is so disappointing. Why can't they use a microwave to thaw the food out before trying to drown it in hot oil? Great to get power by paying at the Po, especially on a Saturday arvo or Sunday. Happy travels xxxx

Keith, yes the free camp at Duraringa is lovely. We really do not free camp, personal choice, but we need power and water to help us though the night. Truly, his lordship just cannot manage anything mechanical or electrical. He loses face when I take over, so sometimes it's just easier to have the power and water laid on.
Keith, you sound so much happier, great to see mate xxx

We had really good sales on Saturday, today was mediochre sales wise, but we met some fascinating people who were worth listening to, so it has been a great weekend all round. I have been absolutely exhausted each day. Today I slept from 4 until 7pm, so am now wide awake, Hoping to get back to sleep eventually.

night all xxx

Had a good sleep in today then the work began, getting the stuff out of the bus and that was a deal in itself, heaps of washing, all done and put away. fridge and freezers all cleared and cleaned, tanks emptied and rinsed through. Only the inside of the bus to clean next. The bus roof is filthy and needs to be re painted again, no use just painting over as it is. Had a nice relaxing time away so plan on another get away sooner rather than later. Re those nasty email things in my spam folder now 49, have to ring Telstra ask for the security section, they have their way of stopping these scum bags, apparently all servers can do this. Tomorrow is the day we do that. They said that the ones I am getting are running wild at the mo. Lawn mowing and weed killing tomorrow. Saw the new Neighbours today with their new sprog, cute baby . Glad you had a good sales day Deborah, My niece from Melb rang me tonight and said one of her girls is looking at speech therapist or something involving kids and the cheeky one (aka Dot 2) is looking at a builder or a sparkie, told her to go for the sparkie as they get more $$$$. Seems the bolt tightening of the exhaust manifold we did has worked, no more noise :D . Deborah if G man and I can do these things I am sure your old boy could as well. Hope all the sickies are getting better. David where are the pics of your great trip?? Who is travelling at the mo??? Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert n Bob x :D

Dot, truly he is very good with kids and chalk. ;) The garden at home is just about his level of intensity. Glad you enjoyed your little escape and yes, you should get the bus out more. xxxx

We had a rest day today. Big sleep in then a vinnies to visit and a quick top up of groceries. We booked to stay here another night so that tomorrow we can have a real expedition to Yepoon. Last time we were there, I bought some really good quality happy pants, so would like to try for some more.

Now we are on holidays for a couple of weeks. So we are trying to stay where the weather is warm for as long as we can.

night all xxx

Dot, I will put up some pics when we get into a town and get some decent speed. It's OK to text off the boat, but pics take forever. Just spent a good half hour watching the sharks chasing the little fish around the boat. Some of the reef sharks are maybe 4 feet or so long.
Cheers
