Thanks Deborah, It looks like a Pizza oven. Now I see how the blobs are made, love them. Gman is off to the block tomorrow to clean up the dead weeds and tidy up a tree branch that came down in the strong winds a few weeks ago. Are the bowls back in play yet Shirley? Crap on tv so off to bed. Take care every body that are on the roads and get well to the sickies. Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Chuck x

Dot, I don't think a pizza would be too tasty after a night at 800 degrees C! I had never thought of it looking like that.. It's just a satisfying process and great way to use up spare bits of scrap. I don't waste much here. xxxx
We are both feeling the heat so another slow day. I rang the solar people to try to get the battery sorted and after talking to 4 different people, all of whom had no idea what the previous person had said, I just lost it. I have given them until Friday to show how they are genuinely sorting the problem or I will be going to Consumer Affairs and channel 9. It is just like getting on a non stopping roundabout, so no more for me.
Next incoming call was from a cold calling estate agent. I told him that we are not at all interested in any place that is for sale and to please take us off the list. Usually they say they will do that and it never happens. This was a nice man. He gave me a place to contact online and they removed us from that list. As an agent, he won't last too long. He was just too nice.
Bring on cooler nights. I need more sleep.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Early night Dot? You doing too much in the garden again? xxxx
Last night I had pretty horrible headache, so took some good strong painkillers and went to be, intending on sleeping for a long while.
Electrickery people were expected to come after lunch to change the meter box thing. Imagine how happy I was to be woken at 7:30 by a sparky? His lordship didn't move an eyelid when the loud doorbell clanged. I answered the door, gave the sparky the key to the padlock. He returned the key and padlock to me and told me to go back to bed. I did as told and woke at 11 to find sparky had well and truly gone.
Due to the drug hangover, I didn't achieve much today. I did get down to the shed much later in the day to put a couple of the rebuilds on to molds to give them a bit of bowl shapes. Tomorrow, will see how they look.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hope the heat isn't getting to you Dot xxxx
Today was the most frustrating day. We had an appointment to visit telstra to buy his lordship a replacement phone. Firstly, needed an appointment. Far out, do we need to have appointments to go to shop at coles next?
Anyways, his phone is 3g so had to be replaced. The whole process was so painful and unpleasant. I asked for a samsung phone, because that is the operating system that his nibs is used to using. The girl tried to tell us that we could use a cheap piece of crap phone. She disappeared to get us some samples. When she returned with five garbage phones, she was surprised that my only comment was; "Now go and find some samsung phones please" . We had done quite a lot of internet research and knew what we wanted.
Next issue is that the old simcard is not able to be used in the newer phones. It is too big. Funny that, at optus, when I had the same problem, they pulled out a cutting thing, cut the card down, and it is still operating my iphone quite well. Her next comment was that we could get the grandchildren to help with loading all of his contacts onto the new phone. I really did feel that she thought we were Ma and Pa Kettle and only allowed out once a year. My next annoyance was the phone comes with a charging lead but no plug. She told us to ask about buying a USBC plug at the counter. We already have those, so no extra money for telstra.
Can't wait to give an honest appraisal, if telstra do send us a survey. She was just plain rude.
After a very late lunch, we sat together with him reading the numbers and me inputting them to the new phone. Done in about an hour, but such a waste of time.
Good luck to anyone else out there who need to update an older model phone.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, Telstra will send one of you an email looking foe feedback on that salesperson and their products.
If you old Samcung phone was smart enough you could have just loaded everything over to the new one by using smart switch.
Your delightful salesperson was obviously only interested in getting you onto a different plan. That's how they make their commission.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
My mobile phone is with Boost 365 day plan, thinking of changing to Vodafone, Woolies special 240GB, $125, 365 days expiry free calls at the moment, normally $250
Coles had a similar offer with Optus recently was $150 I think.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
George how much does that Dodo package cost?
Bruce’s mobile is with Vodafone, he has had his account over 20yrs, he only uses it as a phone, Vodafone to Vodafone only cost is about 18c connection fee, he doesn’t pay a monthly charge only pays for any calls that he makes, which is very few, cost is minimal, I have always been with Telstra, now with Boost, we found when we were travelling I nearly always had reception with Telstra but his Vodafone only worked on the coast once we crossed the Great Divide no reception except a couple of times when we were up really high.
