Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

The wind was all over the place at bowls didn’t know which way to blow & I managed to roll down two wrong biases, fortunately the sun was shining making it warmer, we have a swear jar & wrong bias jar cost me a dollar 😄

Feeling envious of you being able to sleep all day Dot, if only I was able to do the same, would be wonderful, still working on relaxing & trying to sleep at night.
Hot drink time. :D

Goodnight 😴 Good morning anyone awake. 💤💤

Dot. hope the BOBS have entertained you enough to get back to sleep. I am here on my own with a couple of bots. They are not very entertaining either.   xxxx

Shirley, Don't know how you managed to even get the bowls out of the bag. That wind has been so strong and full of ice. The swear box would have been filled easily by me. Even keeping a hold on your bowls with the icy winds would have been a feat of great strength.

We did some research on Dr Google about my knee and found some interesting suggestions. The best one was to try a walking stick. It has made quite a big difference, so will persevere with that at least until I see the physio on Monday. Jon, I suspect that the treatment you offered, is not going to work, because I left it too long after the injury (I thought is was muscular) . My physio is a good one, so will still be taking the article to her for discussion anyway.

Today we had to venture out into the almost snow, to go take his nibs to his annual hearing aide check up. It was really interesting and we are still amazed at how many things she can adjust with her computer programme. He completely lost all hearing in one ear when he had the brain injury. The interesting thing today, is that he has had a slight improvement in that ear. Last year, when he had his last appointment with her, we came home in a hail storm, very scary stuff. As we left her office this afternoon, the sky looked almost as threatening. We headed straight for home and kept driving until the clouds looked a bit friendlier. We stopped in at our shops to collect a bucket load of legal drugs (Keeping our chemist in caviar) and bought a couple of Chinese meals for dinner. The chef has gone on strike at the moment, so he should be happy to at least get some foods bought for him.

Up early again today as AJ was coming around to witness our signatures. Did some repotting and replanting this arvo I have no idea how those BOB's do all that uphill riding let alone racing. Last night's winner was the Pog and hell die he fly past everyone. he is a freak going uphill. The Jayco boys have also done a great job. Big mountains tonight and last day tomorrow are time trials then all over for another year. I get car sick watching them go down those big hills esp when the motorbike shows them from the back of the Mbike. A long way to go now so a nice hot shower and will watch the rest from the warm bed. 99.7 ks to go , 75ks down hill  and 3 more cat 1 climbs to go. Take care everyone on the roads and stay warm. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight WayneP x :D

Dot, the block has totally gone now? That's one less thing for you to worry about. No more weed runs and weird neighbours cats to stress about. Sounds more like a good ending should be, mate xxxx

Shirley said it all. The wind has been horrific and totally frozen. I can't really tell what it felt like out there. I stayed indoors where it's fairly warm and the tossing boats were great entertainment. So far none have slipped off their moorings, but that can change in an instant.

Shirley, hope you fail the covid test. If not, get the drugs asap. They really made a huge difference when his lordship had covid. Thinking of you. xxx

Stay warm everyone,

Deborah, Covid test was negative, just flu/viral infection, we have had the flu shot, feeling better but still not 100%, just trying to rest & stay inside away from the freezing westerly, just hoping that it subsides soon, it’s sure making the lake rough.

BOBs all finished now Dot? What are you going to do for entertainment now? Stay warm mate and don't be hard on yourself. If it's a slow day, be happy to veg for the day, knowing that you will gain from a veg day too. xxxx

Shirley says it all. Freezing cold and super windy. The lake was extra entertaining this afternoon when a couple of crazy jetskiers started racing and mucking around in our bay. They had the bay to themselves. Nobody else would be so brain dead as to venture out in these conditions. They finally came back in and still in two pieces, but stoopid is my only word.

We did stuff all today and probably will continue with that harsh regime for a while.

another full day in bed. I was asleep again when the BOB's were on but awoke with 3 ks to go to watch the Pog do his thing. :D :D Today was just a blank and having a boiled egg for tea. Deborah I am a bit sad about the block sale but no use keeping it if not going to use it as we had envisaged. There are other BOB's races on but not as big. The Aussie boys did us proud. Hope everyone is doing ok in this crap weather. I have Dental clinic this Friday so will pick up my glasses up at same time. Think I shall sign off for tonight . Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert n Bob safe trip home x :D :D

Dot, I do hope that you find your zippity soon mate xxxx

Today was at the torture chamber....physio. She managed to find every trigger point that was in agony and give it more to think about. Even though it was painful her advice was really promising. She suggested that the walking stick will only be needed for a few weeks and that much of the problem is treatable. She also told me to keep up booking events to go to as long as I use a stool to sit on instead of a chair, all should be ok. That actually felt really promising. She didn't rule out surgery totally, but felt it should be avoidable if the exercises work out.

That was enough for one day. As Shirley has warned you, it's flamin cold here, still. 7degrees at the moment and not getting to double digits until 11am. Think I might need another long sleep in.

Good night Dot xxxx

Goodnight Bruce

Not much to share with you at all. It has just been very slow at the lair.
Had a surprise phone call yesterday from the bone surgeon's receptionist asking would i Like to come in on Thursday instead of in September? We are off to flaming Gosford tomorrow to find out what the boney lady thinks. It seems way too soon in many ways, because I have only been doing the torture exercises for a couple of days, but I do want to hear her take on the issue. Much as I hate going to Gosford, we will suffer the drive happily if it helps with our events scheduling and my pain management.
