Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Had another examination for the eyes today, The man did a better test than the last one. Apparently they (Spec sav) have a set distance where they think everyone should be seeing things clearly but I don't like the computer screen or books just about under my nose so they are redoing both pr of the glasses. I told the guy that when I get new glasses I expect to be able to be able to use them straight away, he agreed. :) The caravan repair place said they could replace the door window with perspex BUT at the same price as a new door :o That is a rip off of us and the insurance co. Rang the Insurance people to see if G could do it and =yes and if he cocks it up then still ok to have it fixed elsewhere. Got home and went for a nana nap :D Had a call from some solar person (one of those you cant understand) so I passed him onto Gman   and he said a guy (the expert) will ring us tomorrow hmmm. Off to bed now, today tired me out so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Pet-els aka Peter x :D

Dot, don't you already have solar onto the house? How big is that system? Are they offering an upgrade as a government sponsored system?
I've just realised that's what's not being advertised all the time on TV here. At home, the solar panel ads are on frequently, usually with some famous sports person or team as a figurehead.

Noticed that here as well, with all the battery dramas, the govt no longer wants their name used to support what may later be found to be a dangerous product ...... that's my guess anyway.
If the battery is lithium, make sure there is no cobalt in the battery chemistry, they are the ones that go up in flames ...... if you can find a supplier that is up to speed with modern technology, look for one using sodium ion (Na+) nothing in there to go bang, no matter what goes wrong.

Dot, good thing you found someone capable of helping with the eyes. Are they part of the cheapie mob or someone else? xxxx

Thanks for the help Terry. I am religiously doing the exercises from the physio and have to see the hospital physio next week, along with dietitian and occupational therapist. I suspect it will be a long scary afternoon. The whole thing is very overwhelming. A computer generated knee, that is fitted by a robot. Just a bit of technology gone too far for my brain to figure out how it all works.

I had a bad sleeping night, so woke up later than planned. Finally went down to the shed to find the edges of the plate have gone feral. It's had too many firings for me to start again, so it can be a curiosity on the stall .I don't have the patience to do the photo thing so you will have to stay calm and know they will come when the time is right.

In the kiln tonight is a very bright blue splat bowl, being bent over a handmade mold. Time will tell...
night all xxx

I think the computer taking over the surgery is a good thing, no over tired surgeon making blunders, nurses stressed to the max and artificial intelligence has to be an improvement on some of the area health intelligence I've witnessed ;)

Dot, you are taking it slowly, well done mate xxxx

Terry, thanks for the thought. Until it's all over, I won't have an opinion about it. You certainly have an interesting point of view. My biggest worry is the surgeon is coming home from holidays at the olympics and a river cruise, the week before my op. I am hoping she doesn't bring covid with her.

We woke up at stupid o'clock, had breakfast and showered when sparky called out. He did his thing, all the time grumbling about old fishing shacks and their shonky wiring. He finally left with his fist full of my cash, lights all working and fan installed at 1pm. We had lunch and his lordship crashed out. I had a short nap and was ok but he really crashed.
As it's raining and horrible, I didn't go down to my shed. No hurry.

good night one and all xxx

Dot, I suppose that you are actually aware that it is against the laws of this land to actually grow or allow to grow opium poppies. Having said that, they will grow in the right conditions. I used to know a bloke that grew them in his yard, up near Warwick in Qld. Pretty much like cactus. They like cold in winter warm in summer.
Do not kick the sap.
I saw your quote and have put a reply on messenger.

Deborah, if you have Long Covid, the only way to get rid of it is to sleep it off. My GP suggested I take anti histamines to assist in recovery. I have extremely weird sleep patterns so it was not a big issue. I just hate feeling tired all the time.
I found it gets better , just takes a long time.
Cheers

Saw my surgeon yesterday and booked in for hip replacement on the 11th October. Will be glad to have it done as it is hard now to get decent sleep and like others tired every morning. No problems otherwise waiting on centre link so god knows there.

Take care everyone cheers Robert

1100hrs saw me sleep walk to the loo, I threw all the bedding off so I couldn't crawl back in. Went outside, repotted a few plants and when I looked in the birds cage I saw a bloody broken egg on the floor, Norman and his daughter have started doing the fan dango again  Later in the afternoon the rain droplets started , by 4pm the thunder and rain has set in good and proper and is still banging away and Brian doesn't like it. David the poppies won't be scratched or what ever I don't even think they will grow cuz I just chucked them on the ground. I am off to bed now because I am knackered. Hope things are improving for you Shirley, remember the good old Chicken soup and bedrest, same goes for you Deborah and all the other sickies. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D Give Doone out best wishes please.
