Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, contact your GP, if you haven't already, and get the antivirals. I was lucky enough to get them.almost as soon as I tested positive. I still felt ordinary for a few days, but not for anywhere near as long as last time I had it. One of the girls is still laid low with it, and she is only 40 or so.
Cheers

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Feeling for you Deborah, I would be telling the hospital to do the transfusion when you are asleep , no need for more jabs is there? lets hope you do get the op on Friday and you can start to feel better sooner. Still getting the nasty winds but today we had a dribble of rain. Had a treatment at noon today and she told me not to swear when she hit the "spot" so I didn't but there was one stage I just had to yell out' Oooh I like that" and she hurt me more.
Went out the back to check the garden and the ground was starting to crack so watering was begun. Deborah I will send a pic of the present bought me after you have your op so you may get a laugh. Did a bit of cleaning in the bus but only managed an hr and that was it, had to have a little nap
I am gob smacked with the para Olympics the equestrians and horses are just fantastic and OMG the archery guy wow, makes me feel like a bloody wimp. BOB's are heading up the mountains for the next 35ks.Feeling sleepy so off to the shower (to stay awake) then watch the end in the bedroom. Stay safe and goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Come on Nigel, please do a "no more wind dance" but do a rain dance for something different. I bet Bruce's boat is a rocking in this wind. Nothing happened today G mowed the grass. Watching the BOB's going up those monster hills and also flicking over to the Para games, how the hell can you swim with hardly any arms or legs? amazing. How are you doing Deborah and Shirley? Hope you are ok for surgery this Friday, get it over and done with hey? The ad that is really peeing me off is "Consent Can't Wait" Who are the dim wits that think up this crap? have a listen to the questions?? Imagine that guy in the Vicar of Dibley, the one with the stutter, Do you want to have sex? Yes, so off you go then comes the no no no no, yes, bloody hell,
Take care everyone out there on the roads, Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hi Dot,, yes I have taken a ton of the antivirals and have yet to hear from the surgeon's office. I will be ringing them tomorrow to see how the whole thing will flow. Hoping that you get some rain soon xxxx
David, the antivirals are doing very little. I am just tired and fed up with myself. Not great company either! I can't imagine how I would be without the drugs. The lucky thing is that his lordship seems to have avoided this lot of germs. Finger crossed that I don't jinx him by saying that out loud!
Not enough energy to get down to the shed today, so no glassy news at all.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah I think we both should have a bed in for a couple of weeks. Sounds like you have a dose of "White Cat" so the sooner you have your op the sooner you will be feeling better inside and out. It is a terrible feeling of nothingness. I was up very early today 0930, braised the shanks then shoved them in the dream pot with the stock and by 6pm the meat was falling off the bone. Vegs all done (on stove) so a nice meal was had. The wind has departed for now thank goodness. Nothing much of any note happened today and the BOB's are having a rest day so I will say take care and Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Robert n Bob x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, I don't like the sound of that white cat, but yep it's been here for too long. Wind always slows down at sunset, for a short while. I always say it's out of respect for the sun, but you can write your own ending there mate xxxx
Today I rang the surgeon, to be told that as long as the iron can be arranged, surgery will go ahead on Friday. She refused to have it done by the gas man, before the op. So I rang the hospital and arranged it for tomorrow , to be done at sparrows. Rang the surgeon with this advice, to be told yes, op will proceed on Friday as planned.
A big sigh of relief has been heard all over town (and it wasn't the wind).
Next issue was the local council elections are on the weekend after this. I was determined not to miss the chance to elect some councillors instead of the current despot who has be misadmisistrating the joint. Mail voting arrived today, so had our tenant witness that we were who we say to be etc, so our votes will be posted tomorrow and we will be counted .
That's enough for one super windy day

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah The "White cat" will leave you a week after your op. Do you know if you will be getting the new ceramic hip ball or the old metal shaft? I am watching the BOB's and my boy has done a break away on his own but at 86 ks to go I think he will go back to the mob. Sick of the paras not putting the horses on, too much crap stuff ie ping pong. Was a beautiful day today sat out in the sun with a chocolate drink and a biscuit and Brian of course. G fixed a couple of little things in the bus. I shall move it tomorrow to accommodate our yard dwellers arriving on the weekend. Deborah I will get a pic of my present from the op shop next Monday because you will be ready for a laugh. Are you going to have a spinal? I will when I have to get my hip done. You get to hear some funny things if they don't zonk you too much .Ask them to put AC/DC on for you, it's usually opera they play or supermarket music. For tea tonight I had nothing but self saucing lemon pudding and ice cream. Naughty hey
Time for a sh0wer so Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, if my doc puts the hip ball in my knee, I will not be pleased.
The knee has been made in America, following the plan sent from the CTscan. It had better be a good fit! It's half titanium and half I dunno what. With my back, the last thing I want is a spinal. xxxx
Today I had the iron infusion and was just getting into the car as my phone rang. It was the surgeon's office lady, to say that my surgery has been put back to 20th September. Anesthetist will not operate until at least two weeks past a clear covid test. White cats are appearing everywhere!
That meant having to come home and cancel yet another important festival and a jayco weekend. I have been really amazed at how supportive the festival people have been. Tonight I received a lovely email from today's cancellation. He was so understanding and kind, and I guess that is why I hate letting them down with late-ish cancellations.
The rest of the day was a write off.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Whoops sorry Deborah I have been so used to writing hip that you got to have a hip op as well.
Oh even with a shitty back a spinal doesn't have any effect on it and much safer as well. No babies will be produced from the spinal
What a dam shame with the putting the op off, just increases the stress but you will be fine, looks like Robert n Bob will beat you, he is on the 11th I think. He gets picked up from home and delivered back home by the surgeons deal. (the surgeon is also mine and is the bro of my throat man.)
Keep it in the family. Have a bit of strong wind again tonight, was a nice warm day and the same tomorrow. G is off to the block tomorrow to do a final weed spray and to bring back a few bits back home. I am still in or of those para Olympians, how the hell they do what they do, watched the equestrians = bloody hell wish I could do those moves. Deborah relax, rest up and have a chat with gas man re spinal. Off to bed now so Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight NC George, x
, hope your tests come up with some good news for you

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Today we had 6 drops of the wet stuff aka rain. Those solar people (that do not speak English) are beginning to be PITS. G told them he would let them know IF we were interested but they keep ringing, I blocked one lot but they then used another ph to call at 0900 this morning. I am getting a bit revved up so heaven help their ears if they ring again. Deborah the other hip patient is Mottleemob has his done on soon. One of the Wisterias blossomed within 2 days and the other one is starting so in another day it as well will be in bloom. Have got the 2 wisterias, lavender bushes and lilac tree are attracting the bees like crazy and the bird baths are bee full.
Had the drippers on the garden again today, the ground is so dry, maybe some rain tomorrow. My #7 is out of the BOB for the whole season, and he has gone back to Belgum for treatment, no broken bones this time. I moved the bus out of the way of our 2 lots of upcoming visitors. Should be a fun time if past times are anything to go by, Iam looking forward to seeing them all again. Looks like tomorrow is "clean up day"
Hope all you sickies are feeling better. Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Wimmera Jack x
