Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, still up to mischief? Great to see you are doing so many things. xxxx

Shirley has told you about our lovely warm weather, she didn't share that the winds are getting very strong and the lake is a bit stirred up now.

Our life is revolving around rerhab, as expected. Yesterday I finally met a physio who took the time to share why each exercise was important and which ones were good to do often at home. Only took three visits, but finally feel like the travel is worth it. It is a painful hour there, a painful hour during the torture, and another painful hour back. But we worked a way to have the ice pack all ready once the physio is finished.

So our life wont be getting any excitement for a couple more weeks at least.

night all xxx

Dot, can you and Helen be trusted to keep getting up to mischief? xxxx

Shirley, congrats on being a part of the winning team.. Well done Gwando . I hate to suggest this really, but do you think the lethargy could be long covid? It does take the heck out of you for quite a long time.

Warning to all. I have been doing dealings to buy an elevator for our little house. Yesterday, being a public holiday, I received an email from the salesman with most of the information and contracts in tact but with a message to note the change of bank accounts. I started to think about the things that could go wrong, so I rang head office. No they haven't had a change of bank accounts. I forwarded all of the email and then found that the previous emails from the salesman have disappeared from my in box. (not totally disappeared. but needed to search to find them) I don't know if the salesman was trying to do a shifty or there genuinely is some phishing involved. I will not send large amounts of money by direct deposit until I have double checked all the correct account details with the main company. I still havent sent any money and am a bit unhappy about all this. Hopefully tomorrow the company will return my calls. They may have been a little bit busy trying to check any other payments not disappearing to this account. I hope I warned in time to save others too. This can happen to anyone. Be super cautious and vigilant. Once you press send the money is gone forever.

The win for the day, has been the letter declaring that I had to attend jury duty next Monday. I had sent all the paperwork in plenty of time, but the computer still said attendance or face a huge fine. There was a phone number and I did the phoning thing, as with all gov departments, I had to wait for over half an hour. Then the nice little man told me that he has the authority to cancel my needs to be on the jury duty roll at all and I am free to not attend. Tonight I checked on the jury duty page and it says there in big print that I have been excused. phew.

Deborah, I would say you have had two wins there.
Not losing your hard earned to some shonk, and getting out of jury duty. Well done.
Cheers

Dotty....eyes on you two ..... xxxx

Thanks David. It was satisfying in that way but then today hit.

I woke up thinking that no sh*t is going to win out on me, not in any way. So I started trying to report this blot on the earth, to scam reporting page. Well it seems that you need to have a science degree in computers just to be able to complete the first page to report said crime. They won't talk to you until those pages have been filled to their satisfaction. I tried ring the lift company accounts section and tried to talk to the person on the end of the phone. Her English is non existent and she does not fully understand what I am trying to tell her. I rang my bank, who were great. They really have not had any crime committed against them, but they are protecting our interests. At least they will contact the comm bank and let them know about this account of theirs being used by a scammer. I gave up trying to actually find a phone number for comm bank to try to talk to a real person. I truly am wondering where the real people are employed these days?

Not much of the day left, so after some physio Ice and pain killers, I am here.

so night all xxx

Deborah not many real people employed these days and too many call centres with people who do not know good basic English and manners.

Trust you are improving and take it easy on the old pain relief please. Speaking from experience there.

Dot and Helen are you still tucked in the no reception area, have fun cheers aRobert

Dot and Helen......xxxx

Thanks for the reminder Robert. I refuse to take more than one endone in any 24hour period and so far that has been when the 3 am stabbing pains hit out hard. I know the hospital kept giving them to me at 8 hour intervals, so that has been stopped as soon a I got home.

I hope you all in Adelaide have found out about the Chihuly glass exhibition on the botanical gardens. My f**kbook page keeps reminding me that I have until 29th April to get to Adelaide to see it. This guy is a world renown glass blowing artist (I am way below him on the talent scores here). HIs works are huge, often created by minions following his instruction and also installed by same minions. His lordship came in to my office just as the full page ad for this display came on. I will be doing my best to get to Adelaide at some stage to see this once in a lifetime display. It was good to remind his lordship that this is one event that I want to fit into my calendar somehow.

We both felt a bit slow today, so that's how we stayed. Crazy rehab tomorrow, gggrrrr

night all xxx

When they put me in an isolation room with the attack of shingles across the right side of my forehead and around my right eye, the nursing staff feed 2 Endone every 3 hrs for a 16 hr period, along with injections and pills to stabilise the shingles in an attempt to keep it out of my right eye ...... no hope of sleeping, couldn't make sense of the TV or any attempt to read .... even completely off my face, 16 hrs takes a long time to pass, but at least the pain was minimised for that period, very thankful for that.
Panadol Osteo and Norflex seem to be the best combination to relieve pain for me, but sometimes an Endone is needed as well, just avoid taking the Endone daily over extended periods ..... one pill a day become a pill morning and night, becomes two pills and ...... They are all great medications ... just not long term, it's amazing what the body can become addicted to without you realising it's happening .... until you stop .... coffee is a good example
