Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

In the past, it was the Japanese that paid the big $$ for any of our seafood, but it had to be perfect or they simply wouldn't buy it no matter what the price ....

You are right there Helen. Wake up Dot, been too long xxxx

Helen my knee is doing as well as expected..ie painful at times and stiff and sore but still functioning like a knee.

I have declared that I am going crazy sticking inside the house all the time. So we went and did a big grocery shop. As long as I had the trolley to lean on, I was ok. We did walk most aisles and by the end I was getting a bit tired/sore. Once groceries were put away, I did the ice thing and that made a difference.
Here are the pics of the tree. I finally figured out a way to defeat the computer and apple who are in cahoots to prevent me getting my pics from the phone.

After all the excitement of shopping, I heard a tap on the front door. A lovely old lady (88 she told me and very energetic) wanted to tell us that she loved our garden. Her grandchildren (about 8 and 10) had told her about our roses that have such deep perfume. I gave her a few roses to take back with her. She really wanted to know about the names of many of our unusual plants and where she could buy some like our double delight roses. They are not easy to source because they are an old fashioned rose. Her visit was pretty good, but I had not grabbed my walking stick and when I grabbed the scissors and went down to the garden I managed the steps ok both going down and up. That was good practice .
Anyway, tonight, I am stuffed.
night all xxx

Deborah, that tree looks like it had an old crack in the bough. I would suggest that you move anything of value out of the drop zone of that it.
It looks like a lovely old tree, hopefully an arborist can save it.
Cheers

Dot, I saw you sneaking a peep. xxxx

David, you are right. It is a very old crack in the tree trunk, that has suffered by too much water. We seem to have had a shift in the water tables under our blocks. Tomorrow the neighbour will be getting an arborist out (I hope). She saw it for the first time this afternoon and was very shocked just how much timber is involved.

We had a visit to optus. This is all due to the lift needing to have a sim card in the phone inside it ( a legal requirement). Anyway, I have an old sim card in his old ipad that I pay $5 per month for. I was hoping to be able to use that card. Apparently no. It is a data card not a phone card. For a new sim, the best optus could do was $39 per month. When I replied that it would probably get one call per year on it, he said to shop around, but they don't do deals. (Really?) So far my research has come up with a sim card from catch (that is primarily an optus sim) for $150 per year and $100 for the first year. I will do a bit more research, before signing up for this one.

Tomorrow, I am hoping will be my last day for torture and we can get our lives back. I have booked the van into Port Macquarie for next week and we are planning to be back doing an event later that weekend.
sweet dreams xxx
