Jon, George and Dottie, stop reading now, this will be more than 1 line long.

This morning's job will be to try and put the awning back up on the Winnie before the sun reaches that side. Just spent 30 mins taping foil covered bubble wrap around the front windows and the piece I put up yesterday over the left front window behind the door to keep the heat out, was transferred to the kitchen window ......

Can't you put that blue tarp over the Winnie for some shade?

Air con won't work if you put a tarp over it Dottie ...... Shading the windows with the reflective bubblewrap sun shades did the trick

Double sided sticky heat transfer tape

Twisted stainless wire to tie it on

Paper removed from sticky pad and thermostat switch attached to high pressure line

Warning, these posts may be a bit too long for Jon D, Newcastle George or Dottie, read further at your own risk ....

This appears to have been a temp sensor plumbed into the oil cooler water outlet hose that is plumbed into the bottom radiator hose, from the factory, with the cold water in and hot water out, either side of a flow restrictor, strange to say the least, but they must have determined it worked, because all the V10 6.8 ltr engines plumb their oil cooler this way.

The temp sensor must have broken off, so it was soldered over and made a good flat base to mount the next thermoswitch for the fans
Winnie Thermoswitch water oil cooler exit.jpg

There is a sticky thermo transfer pad between the switch and the soldered flat pad, then the whole lot layered in T Rex to hold it in place, then a coat of black paint for good measure .... hopefully it will be dry enough tomorrow to fit ...... then I can refill the coolant and run the engine to find which side is the hot inlet and which is the cooler outlet for the trans cooler

You didn't have rubber gloves on did you? And you didn't smooth our the Trex stuff. It kinda resembles an abominal snowman. But my spelling may need a bit of sub editing.

Oh, and you have told Jd, Dot and NCG to not read your posts for the past two days, so how do you expect them to keep up????
Cheers

I tried to do the Donald Trump scripting thing, not too many words and lots of pictures .... but I ran out of photos for the second post, so I put the warning up at the beginning for them to save them getting stuck past the first few lines and the eyes rolling back ;)
